Winning

Post by auntiebj »

Why since there is no real money payout, can't the wins be more loose.  I am a gold member and never win no matter what game I'm in.  Is my computer settings wrong or something?

No, there's nothing wrong with your computer.  They designed the games to work the same way as the games in the casinos.  I think the Webman's said that was a decision they made up front, recognizing that people wouldn't be hitting as many jackpots on the site as we'd like to hit.  This way, the training tips and tools here on the site apply to both G.C. play and real casino play.

Its actually a good thing.  Otherwise, you would be suprised how bad a trip to the casino would be. Great job on this site guys. Keep  it real.

I don't know what casino you go to but If I was going to a casino that played this bad I would never go there again. The one I go to don't play this bad. At least you can draw a four of a kind.

If the game is decided my a RND what does skill and training have to do with the out come. Assuming one know the basic of how to play the game?Skill in determining the best holds on a hand gains you an extra couple percent of coin-in (or cuts your losses by that extra couple percent).  That is an expectation of about 1/10 of a coin on each play, or 60 coins per hour, if you pull single-line at 600 hands per hour.  That figure could be a little high or a little low depending on how many mistakes are included in what you call "basic how to play."  Part of "skill" is knowing at least basically how to play.A more important element of skill is determining the correct games and pay schedules to play and the best places and times to play, paying attention to progressive jackpots, comps and promotions.  That could be a lot more than 60 coins per hour.Of course, luck can gain you (or cost you) much more than correct holds and game selection can.  Luck is the predominant factor in winning and losing on any casino visit.  But skill doesn't generally hurt you.
