This place is just not safe anymore. For the past year I have been there to vist friends. I was amazed to see a uniform police officer patroling around the outside of the casino floor and lobby area.
I have had some good times at the Taj. It is sad to see these things happen.

OTABILL, Thanks for posting that link. I had not heard about this. It serves as a reminder to be alert, aware of what is happening around us and avoid risky chances. When a gal won $10K, she screamed so loudly, I doubt if anyone in the casino missed hearing of her win. She was with a bunch of people celebrating someone's b'day, so hopefully she made it to the pkg lot and home safely! Recently at a casino, my husband took the safety issue one step further. I gave him a sizable TITO to cash in, assuming he would use a nearby redemption machine. Instead, he preferred going the distance to the cashier. I believe, so fewer people would be aware of the amount and also not wanting to take a chance on the machine mal functioning. I have never had a problem with the redemption machines but a few machines had their limits of how much they would accept and pay out. Has anyone had a problem with a redemption machine or prefer to cash out at the cashier window ?

One can never take enough precautions, and not only while on casino property. This happened here in AZ a few years ago:
Man Arrested in 2004 Cold Case Murder of Arizona Woman

And last year in California:
Suspect in murder of Calif. casino winner arrested in Arizona .

no problem with machine but in a large win go to cashier as to have fewer people see large amounts of cash
