Went to the Isle and LDL within the last 2 weeks. All poker machines we played were really tight. Not going back to LA casinos. Will try OK or NV next time we want to gamble.
If you think that the VP machines in LA are tight then don't waste your time going to OK they are worse. Suggest you practice a little more and try LA again.

How are the VP machines tight? Class 3 machines with a RNG are supposed to be random.I'm guessing you are talking about pay tables?

I should have said pay tables, they are bad. The last time that I was there, I played VP all over the different theme rooms including some of the bars with little luck, ended up dropping about $300. in just a few hours, only hit 4 of a kind 3 times playing DDBP. The other problem is that it's the only casino in the area unlike Lake Charles or Shreveport. where you can always try your luck some where else.

Here is a second vote for LA over OK pay tables. Not every trip is a winner but I'll take the higher odds over lower odds over the long-term.

Went to Winstar last year and did not like it. The paytables were not good, the bar video poker had sticky machines (it was at the bar so I expected that) and the long walk to get to the videopoker sections was not fun because it was really crowded. Getting a machine to play and then trying to get it to no suck all my money within minutes was not fun.I play deuces wild mostly and can usually play a long time on either quarters or fifty cents but not at Winstar. Won't go back.Oh, well, live and learn.Opalinewoman

Thanks for all the responses. I will avoid Winstar at all costs for sure.

I have never been out to LDL but I am planning on going this Summer. Looking on VPfree2, it shows that they don't offer DDB and the lowest denomination is $1. Is vpfree just not updated?
Thanks!
Checked out LDL on our trip to Lake Charles. Now I know why I don't play there much anymore. In the past all $VP was 99% return while low denoms were really low.
Checked this week and the $VP play is now dropped to JOB 9/5; Bonus 8/5 with no extra money for Aces, 2's, 3', etc.; Deuces from 99.73 to 20/12 97%. If you move to $2/$5 VP you can get some JOB 9/6. In summary, unless you're a big denomination player the Isle beats the heck out of LDL. You can still find 9/6 JOB and NSUD in 25/50/$1 at Isle.
But, we love the LDL pool!!!! Have a great trip.
