Red Rock is no. one...GVR no.two...Although the M has limited their VP machines it's a beautiful quiet casino so I enjoy a short time there..Hubby usually reads a book while I play. When we go in Sept. we're going to drive to Mesquite and try the two casinos there..We did Aleanti (sp) last time and it was nice. I hit a $2000+ progressive. It's quiet and had a good buffet...We avoid the strip because of the traffic, crowds, smoke etc.    I just like to get out and about or I sit all day and get stiff and broke...:)

My husband and I are also going to Vegas on Sept 9th for a week.  Where are you staying? We got a deal at the Gold Coast.  Hope to have a little luck while we are there.

KJohn, I'll be in Vegas Sept 19th - 24th. On strip, though, staying at Caesars.

Frog. if you have a  car and want to visit as many casinos as you can, you should go to the gold coast, across the street is the Palms, next door is the Rio and just a few blocks over is the Orleans, that would fill a day

Thanks mendon.  We've been to gold coast, rio and orleans.  Not sure why we haven't made it to the palms yet.  Do you recommend it?   So many casinos...so little time...   Good reason to plan a return trip!

We haven't been to Vegas in 3 years and I know we went to the Palms but I can't remember much about it. We are going there on Sept 9th and staying at the Gold Coast so I am sure we will walk across the street to check it out.  My mom lives there so I am sure we will be going everywhere.  I  like Arizonia Charlies so want to go there.  My mom had some good luck at the Orleans a couple weeks ago......... we never had any luck at all at South Point. Good Luck to you and have fun, that's what it's all about
