I love the ambiance of Brio, and think it's a beautifully done restaurant.   Maybe you ate there on a Saturday while there was a cash drawing right below in the rotunda?  Those get very loud and crowded.

Table games are supposed to go live anytime now.  My husband is a big blackjack player there and has been told he'd be invited to the debut.  As it is now, there's only about a deck and a half penetration of the 6-deck shoe.  Hub is very excited to see them go to live cards and says he's gonna "take them like a rented mule."

Billy, the suite attendants are mostly female and they are very sweet.
When we all were there @ Brio, Buff, I did notice that the thing that went off every half hour or so in the Rotunda was pretty noisy.

And you believe the hub? BTW, I think the term is 'BEAT them like a rented mule'.

Now that I know about the attendants, I GOTTA get a suite from my host next time.

Well today is the day Harrah's Cherokee debuts live cards at the blackjack tables!    My husband will be at the table and is so excited he could barely sleep.  Our host called yesterday to ask if he would object to being interviewed by the local news station.  NC Governor and the Chief of the Eastern Band of the Cherokee Nation will be there as well.  So exciting to see this little local casino blossom.

We're gonna make one stop on the way to Cherokee ... anyone know where we can rent a mule?

Buff,  My September mailer arrived today. They bragged about a new High Limit area w/200 slots and 12 table games. Since you will be there a  first hand review would be appreciated.

Live cards went off without a hitch and hub was up $25k the first shoe.  woohoo.  VP machines and slots were being taken out of service last night and are scheduled to be up and running in the new high limit area  tomorrow.  What the heck am I gonna play today?

The new high limit area opened about 4:30 yesterday with half of the machines up and running.  Techs continued to work to bring other machines up.  It is a beautiful space. Harrahs did a really nice job.  When all is said and done, there are to be approximately 200 machines in the high limit.  New vp machines will be added, but I don't know which games will be on them. As is usually the case, there will be more slots than vp. I was hoping the machines would be loose, and within 5 min. I got awak for $4000 on a $1 Game King.  The first hand pay of the new high limit .  Quickly pulled 4 kings then switched to $5 and got two more 4oaks for $1250 each.  A decent night!

Buff did they take a photo of the 1st HL winner for their Casino  wall or did they put it on the Slot Directors office wall so he can use it for a dart board since you took them to the cleaners.
