Have been the Golden Nugget twice since it opened. Could not find any 9/6 job quarter machines and if you play in the  atrium at the bar, job is 7/5. First time I went home with some money and played for a long time. Just went for the day. Second time I went, came home a loser. Had fun though. Like the casino but still  like the Borgata best. Yes, VP at Golden Nugget AC stinks. Best paytable I found there was 7/5 Bonus Poker, at least at the quarter denom. Even in the high limit room, there were no full pay machines I could see

I was at the Nugget this summer.  I did find a few 25c  JorB   on these machines you could bet 25c  $1  $5  $10.   the  25c and $1  were 9/6   but  the 5 & 10 dollar bets were 8/5.    I had always thought that they wanted your to play the higher $ .  But i guess i was wrong.

I have seen what I believe to be a trend in VP in the casino that I call 'limiting your exposure". I see a lot of Multi-Game, multi-denom machines that will have high volatility (and potentially high payout) games such as TDB at the lower denoms, but not at the higher denoms. I think the casinos just do not want to be exposed to large payouts, even though they have the edge based on the pay tables.  
 
The days of Jack Binion, who would take any bet you could carry in his casino and put on the table, appear to be gone.
