Aliante Casino + Hotel Report

Post by Quad Deuces »

I made the drive up to Aliante to get a player's card and see what's up.The new club has a countdown of $1 with 1000 points = $1 for .1%.  The FPDW I played a few hands of appears to be a countdown of $4 per point just like Stations.  The club brochure says "Slots, Video Keno, Video Poker* $1 = 1 point,  *Optimum machine earning varies"For tier-earning purposes, the "Optimum" > 100% games earn tier points at $4 per point.  This is different from Stations where $1 is 1 status point regardless of paytable. The tier levels are Premier < 1000 points, Elite - 1000 points, Celebrity - 30,000 points, Headliner - 100,000 points.  President at Stations was automatically placed in "Celebrity."They are giving a random multiplier up to 10X at the kiosk - apparently every day.  I received 8X today.  Unfortunately I had somewhere else to be and couldn't hammer on some $1 NSU.I'm unfamiliar with the locations of the games.  All the old 100% and 99.8% banks held over from Stations had the standard blue "Game King" logos on the LCD displays (games there all have LCD displays on the machines, instead of the standard lighted plastic signage.  It was harder to find the full-pay games but they're still there. The wait at the player's club for a new card was about 30 minutes. It's sort of a haul for me and there's absolutely no good way to get from there to, well, anywhere else, but I intend to give them some action and if I reliably get 5X or more at the kiosk I'll have to add it as a place to play when nothing else is going on.

It's probably a smart play to make a couple of trips playing a small amount of penny slots only. Their system will determine that you are absolutely not a player that can hurt them and so will regularly give you 10x multipliers. And when they do, get there early in the day and hammer them at $1 NSU all day long. Assuming you can play 800 hands per hour this is a $30 per hour opportunity --- which is a high return for dollar single-line players. Playing NSU all the time will likely cap your mailers at 4x or 5x. None of this is based on anything other than experienced speculation. I do not know the owners or managers and have no inside information. Bob

Multiplier days/programs that I have seen only apply the multiplier to 'comp' points, not 'tier' points. If that is true here, and comp points is what you are after, then great.

You're correct about it not changing tier points. But what you are calling "comp points" are actually "free play points," which is very close to cash back (in my opinion it's better than cash back) --- so a 10x multiplier (which is there for all seniors on Wednesdays in November and everybody on Thursday and sometimes for everybody if they swipe that high on other days) is worth 1.0% cash back --- or 0.25% on the 100% machines. For dollars they have single-line 9/6 JoB and NSU. For multiple lines from 25c to $2 they have 8/5 Bonus. Bob

I've been thinking about that penny slot tactic.  I am concerned that if I do that long enough to get their algorithms doing good things (if it happens at all) that I will completely miss the 8X, 9X, and 10X days (they can't last forever).

How can you miss it? Every time you're there, check your multiplier. If it's 8x or above, fire away. If it's 2x or 3x, play some slots for cover. But Wednesday (for seniors) and Thursdays (for everybody) are already 10x for the month. If one or two days a week is all you want to play, go on those days (if it's convenient) and forget about the subterfuge. Bob

I don't see how once I hammer on a good game with a good multiplier in a calendar month how a few penny slots will make any difference, but I obviously haven't been watching slot clubs as long or as closely as you have.Rereading your strategy it seems like you're saying their algorithms might respond quickly to the slot play instead of aggregating data at the end of a period, like a calendar month.

You're probably correct. We both have more information now than I did when I recommended the subtle approach.  When I suggested slots to trick them into giving you a good multiplier, I wasn't aware that they were giving 10x points to everybody 1 or 2 days a week. I doubt that this multiplier strategy will last through the end of the year. So if you're going to play there, do it soon. Bob
