Keno,Every VP player started out at some point, and most didn't start out playing 5-coin $5 machines I suggest strongly that until you have the strategy down pat for whatever game you chose to start with, you find it in a nickel variety and play it 5-coin MAX.  Of course you should also be looking for full pay machines, but anything up in the 99% return category is good at that level for training in a casino.  Even better though would be to spend some money on a good realistic simulator and do your practice for free on your computer.  It's kind of like going to driving range.  It's a lot cheaper to hit a bucket of balls than it is to play 18 holes of golf and hopefully, you'll get more swings at the ball with that bucket than in 18 holes on the course!I started out with DDB because it had about the easiest strategy to learn after JOB and paid better when it did pay!

I hope this gets you to the discussion we had on simulators.http://www.videopoker.com/forum/forum_p ... =440Bottom line is that there are 3 or 4 out there that are good.  You see the ads for Bob Dancer and Video Poker for Winners here on this forum.  It's good.Winpoker is reportedly very good also.Frugal Video Poker (Jean Scott's offering) is supposed to be good also.
