REVEL ATLANTIC CITY

Post by 4625601 »

took the drive last week..got comp room..100.00 food and 500.00 slot play..the hotel itself is very nice...room i had on 15th floor was really nice...one complaint was walls real thin..can hear people in surrounding rooms..46" lcd tv..remote controlled tv...lights...a/c...room faced the ocean...huge shower....very comfortable bed...total charges to me were 5.00.... had wonderful dinner and breakfast buffet the next morning...to anyone going to casino park on 6th floor...that leads you right to casino level....to anyone going to hotel registration park on 11th floor as lobby is on that floor..i arrived around 11:00 a.m. and got my room right away....then took 2 escalators down to 6th floor(casino level) and got players card where slot play got loaded up..going from lobby level to casino is easy and vise versa..but otherwise wear comfortable shoes as you will probably do quite a bit of walking...the casino itself is laid out rather nicely i thought..plenty of room to wander around scouting out the games available...to my fellow smokers it is one escalator down from casino to outside..go left out the door and u can lite up no problem...
for those of you interested in all the hotel has to offer i can say 1st hand the walking garden and pool area which is on the 11th floor is really cool...its proably 100-150 ft abov sea level..as far as i know both available to hotel guests only.i must say i had absolutely no problems at all at the hotel ..i had read mixed reviews but i had no issues at all.

i was curious and excited to see the video poker selection available...first,for the .05 players there are no single line .05 machines.....05 is available in multi strike;100 play;and i thought i saw a few ultimate x in .05

the majority of the machines are .25-25.00..and thats all on one machine!coming from the machines at mohegan sun i had never seen machines w/that range of play available on one machine......there are also dedicated 5 and 10 $ machines...the .25-25.00 machines also have progressives on at least the .25 level...i didnt check the other denominations.

REVEL ATLANTIC CITY CONTINUED.

there was a decent selection of .25 multi strike and ultimate x....

i started at about 12:00 noon w/700.00...playing almost all .25 of bonus deluxe;double double and triple double with a one hour break for dinner and multiple smoke breaks i went bust at 9:30 that nite...i was jumping around from machine to machine..for that time period i got 1 straight flush and one dealt quad 4s in bonus deluxe...nothing on dd or triple double..talk about tight machines..my plan was to use the free play on day 2 on the dollar bonus deluxe so i turned in early not wanting to use free play or hit the atm.

on a side note i did see a particular bank of machines "lit up" several times...these were the 5 and 10$ machines directly accross from the revel card entrance..theres also 5 or 6 ultimate x machines in that same row...you higher limit players may want to try those  specific 5 and 10$ machines.

free play is awarded quite differently then what im used to..u insert card in machine...punch in pin#...activate free play...as you play credits are added to your live credits and at the same time deducted from your free play total.

i stuck to my plan and played bonus poker deluxe...300 went real quick but i then pulled 4 7s
for 400.00...i pulled that to my pocket and out of my remaining 170.00 free play i accumulated another 480.00 in tickets..so i bailed out and got out of dodge quick.

the hotel is beautiful..the amenities are great..the vp is tough
.
went to the taj and hit awak on super dd for 500.00..left there real quick.
went next door to resorts..stayed 5 min..totally depressing place.
stopped at whitehouse subs on the way home and totally enjoyed that

Sounds like you had a fun trip! When you got your 500 freeplay (i got the same offer) did you also get the sign up promotion? Did they do the tier match?Where did you eat at Revel and do you recommend it?

dinner at central michel richard...didnt feel like real fancy white tablecloth dining as i was alone..i liked it....onion soup(very good;not to salty)cesear salad w/goat cheese(very good)hangar steak w/some kind of pasta flavored w/onion..went very well w/steak..breakfast buffet at o bistro..standard eggs;bacon;sausage;potatoes;fruit;cakes.

i dont know about the sign up promo but once i started playing points started accumulating..once i reached the goal i got to pick from 6 scratch offs...i made that 4 times the first day for a total of 40 additional free play

Found all machines of all kinds to be VERY tight at Revel.   Didn't see a lot of winning around me, either.   Gorgeous property, great food, great service... but not where I'd choose to play.

Yeah, the Revel seems like it caters to wealthy people who are there for the nice hotel rooms and fancy restaurants.  Regular folks who appreciate VP are not going to like it. I'll stick with the Taj and Bally's for VP.
