Any update on the video poker options? Any bar top games?
Most casinos have bartop games, so I would assume Cincy is the same way. Do these games have decent paytables, not as likely. Also you have to pay for your drinks in Ohio, so at least for me, there is much less incentive to play at the bar.

Yeh, just trying to decide if I want to switch from Rising Star in Indiana to Cincy as it is a closer drive but I enjoy the 3 bars they have at Rising Star. I figure the pay tables won't be that good but neither are the ones in Rising Star.

Hello all, I ventured there last night and here is my report: 1. Parking- Nice sized garage with electronic signs out front saying how many empty spots are on each floor. Easy to get in and out of. 2. Entrance and first impressions: This place is a class act inside and is more of a Las Vegas Type Experience than the boats, A lot of security in the place and complimented with at least 10 of Cincinnati's finest walking around. They do not tolerate gang style clothes and I watched them make several people take down their hoods and pull up pants and tighten belts or risk ejection. They seem to be doing a good job of weeding out undesirables. 3. Staff- Every one I met was friendly and nice. Casino host visited me at machine and introduced herself, but never offered anything. 4. Gaming- huge variety of slots and video poker and the machines are very high tech and brand new and do not resemble the older machines at Indiana casino. They have a nice sized video poker session by the spread buffet featuring a lot of multi denominational machines Ultimate x, STP. DSTP, All Star, 3/5/10, Spin Poker, and some new ones I have never seen. Payouts are the same as any Caesars Casino and not good. DDb on Ultimate X is 7/5 while Double bonus is 9/5. I mostly play Ultimate X 10 hands .05 and they have a whole row of these machines. 5. Restaurants: I did not try the restaurants but Bobby Flays had a huge line the entire time. I am a little disappointed in their points. I played for three and a half hours non stop and only received 496 tier points at $5 a push... Pretty lousy.... 6 Etc.... Non smoking was great and I could breathe so much better than Indiana Casinos. They have no self serve drink machines and all drinks (except at bars) had to be ordered via the touch screen on the machines you are playing, but service was very quick and friendly, but I like the self serve soda machines at the Indiana casinos. All and all a great place though and with good casino offers I would go back for sure.

The point system there should be the same as every other CET property, 1 Tier per $10 coin-in. I'm guessing you were playing slower than usual and soaking the place in a bit. Given the bad paytables, thats not a bad thing! And yeah, nonsmoking is a nice plus...wish Missouri would buck up and do that (they never will).
Did the STP or Double STP tables look any better? Doubting it...lol

Thanks for the info, it was thorough and helpful. Disappointed in the Ultimate X, but not surprised, from what I have seen, that is the standard at Harrah's properties. When in the area, I guess I will continue to visit Rising Star, at least there it is 8/5, which is bad enough. Jim

Agree with you Jim, Rising Star has better pay scales, but only three games of UX and they are hard to get sometime
