VP Tournaments in Vegas this weekend

Post by Olyk »

I am very new to this site, actually just joined last night - but I'm a long time VP player. I typically get out to Vegas at least a couple times a year but primarily play VP at the
Indian Casinos here in Southern CA. Heading out to Vegas on Friday morning (May 17th) and leaving Monday morning...very excited! I was curious if anyone knew of any VP tournaments occurring during this time frame. I'll be staying at Ballys (havn't been over there in probably over a decade) and my normal spot - Mandalay Bay - as I do very well with VP there, but it doesnt matter to me where a tourney would be located -- on or off strip. Anyhow, if anyone has any insight about where I might find a VP tournament anytime this Fri-Sun I would greatly appreciate it! Wish me luck in Vegas!!!

Thanks so much edog & JimDW!!! This site is fantastic - wish I would have looked for it earlier, but glad to have found it. Been practicing my play in the training mode, getting ready for some long days/nights of playing in Vegas!

You can search the Web for Video Poker tournaments in Vegas and should get quite a few hits on various links pertaining to it. Maybe even put in dates.

I appreciate the suggestion Marksman, but I actually already did that (searched for quite some time) and came up with nothing so I figured I might as well take the opportunity to post here to see if anyone happened to know of any specifics. I suppose this is the only way short of contacting casinos one by one which isn't worth it to me. Anyhow, it's not a big deal just thought it would be fun to participate in one if something was going on during this time frame. I did a VP tourney at a California Native American casino last year & won 2nd place ($4000) - so that was certainly lots of fun!

Olyk the first thing you do after you get into town is pick up a copy of the Las Vegas Journal Review or the Las Vegas Sun. I prefer the LVJR and you might find some ads for VP tourneys in there.

Good luck and welcome to the site, I have been around for quite a few years.

An excellent suggestion Ted! It hadn't occurred to me to go that route - I will definitely do so. Thanks again!!!

I appreciate the suggestion Marksman, but I actually already did that (searched for quite some time) and came up with nothing .....!

Most unusual because I came up with several, after 2 serches with different wording,  some  even with locations, days of the week and buy-in amounts.

Some even had calendars to search far ahead but of course, dates are subject to change with such events.

Hmm...that is odd. I'll have to do another search tonight before going to bed (leaving on the plane early tmrw a.m.!) Thanks for following up Marksman!
