Interesting strategy.  Most people bet harder when they're winning.  I'll have to think about that some more...

I've been working on increasing my session bankroll.  I play mostly DDB.  I immediately cash out all quads, SF, Royals and any run over $100.  My first goal is to go home with money in my pocket.  If you are going to do this, you need to walk into the casino with more money or you could be tempted to put your wins back in the machine.  The hardest thing to do is to cash your tickets and walk away.  I've given back so much money over the years that it's easier for me to do this now.   The silly game pays back over 90% with perfect play.  The problem with us humans is that we can't let good enough alone.

Hi Phil...Do they have Double Down Stud down there? If so, you can play almost twice as many hands in the same time as draw poker. There are very good payouts for hitting hands like being dealt a Wild Royal in Deuces. It pays 200 coins with the double for one coin in. I have yet to not hit one of these as long as I have 8 hours or so to play. Up here the return on that game is around 98% and the Bonus Deuces  Double Down Stud is around 97%.  Easy to play 1200 hands per hour with this game or almost 10k hands in 8 hours or so of play. Most every time you will hit at least one of the bigger paying hands in that time. Sometimes as many as 5 or 6 in a session. I use the same strategy as above, but the lowest games we have begin at the quarter level. As you say, the hardest thing to do is quit while ahead. I will have to try a similar cash out approach to yours. In addition, up here they will shut down and hold the machine for you for up to 1 1/2 hours in case you want to take a badly needed break, get lunch etc.  As always, good luck to all....Dave....

Double Down Stud is not available in Florida according to videopoker.com. Outside of CT and NJ it's nearly impossible to find. By some miracle it does exist at my closest Casino (Ameristar St. Charles, MO). Ironically this is the closest location to play the game from Tampa as well.
