Re: Shutting down your machine for a break
the only reason a machine should be held I while you are playing you need to go to the restroom and a security guard or other casino employee "watches" the game, This is much less of an issue with TITO, provided there are enough machines to go around. If you have to cash out $200 in quarters it makes sense to lock up the machine while the player, say, goes to the club booth for something.I despise the $1 NSU at the D that pays out in quarters if < $250 and is a hand pay if higher.Do you tip the person who watches the machine? I don't. Nor do I tip for handpays that aren't W2G. (Actually, thinking about it, we should kick the person who brings a W2G in the shin, not tip him.)

There are many reasons the wife and I have virtually stopped going to the local CET property. Shutting down machines at the only DDB RF progressive bank is one of them. Quite frankly, we find the comps and customer service better elsewhere. In fact, haven't seen machines shut down at any of the other local properties we frequent.
billyjoe and Otabill,
I can understand your feelings. The casino we play has a limited number of machines (4 -100 Multi-hand 5¢ machines) and don't have a minimum play. There are 5-6 regulars who will play 1x5 or one who plays 1x2 or 1x3 for hours. Often other regulars wait hours to begin their play. The casino also takes play into consideration when shutting down machines.
