Olds442 : Call Resorts and make sure that they honor the Mohegan Sun points here is the # from Resorts website.1-800-772-9000. www.resortsac.com  I like the Borgata. the rooms are nice and they have 9/6 JOB. The paytables aren't to bad. The Revel is new and I heard the rooms are nice but the paytables are not the greatest. They have 8/5 JOB. Harrah's is putting in new machine. I would think they should be done by the spring.

Resorts is a place I am very familiar and I stay there quite often....they actually have, in my opinion, some of the best food in AC (even though you say that is not a priority.)    But to answer the question, they DO HONOR mohegan sun players' accounts, but go to the players booth and get your Resorts card and show them your mohegan sun account and ask them to transfer your apllicable balances (comp$, points, etc) into Resort equivalents.....and get a host.Resorts is a good choice for your first, rare, AC trip because they only charge 5 bucks a night for resort fees.....everyone else charges 10, 13 or even 15 bucks a night.   Also ALmost EVERY VP machine in Resorts (about 100 of them) have 8/5 BONUS POKER on the menu (basically a 99.2% return)    ANd their comp $$$  and point system is the simplest and most straightforward in AC, and you can use all your comp dollars at 1 to 1 in every restaurant, shoppe and even the gift shoppe if you want a bag of chips and a soda.....all 1 to 1.   Resorts is connected to Trump Taj so you can visit that place without even going outside.....and TAj, in turn, is connected to showboat.   And showboat is next to Revel (1 block away on the boardwalk), so you get the most bang for your buck in terms of close location to other casinos.Jimdeuces is right about Borgata though, so if you dont mind being away from the boardwalk and relying on a car or the bus to go to other parts of AC, the Borgata is ok.If you go during nice weather, you definitely want to be on the Boardwalk.

daburglar,i play at the caesar's properties because i have a diamond total reward card.i have a great host who gets me great rooms or suites and enough points that my meals cost nothing.harrah's has 9/6 vp on quarter triple play and other single line machines.i had favorites machines at bally's but they are now gone.caesars vp doesn't thril me so i walk next door to ballys.yes i do see some problems, but there are problems at every casino location wherever you go;as long as they don't affect me personally i don't dwell on them.i go to AC to get away for a few days and just have a good time win or lose.

Wife and I are planning trip to Atlantic City in May. With all of the VP changes at CET I was glad to hear that they have some 9/6 triple play machines at Harrahs. Are they JOB or DDB?

We usually stay at Caesars. I really liked the progressive bonus poker triple play machines next door at Ballys. Are they still there or did they replace them with something else?

We really like Atlantic City. I do not see why so many people say so many bad things about it. On our two trips there last year we came close to breaking even. We also enjoyed their diamond and 7 star lounges and enjoyed the shopping and walking up and down the boardwalk.

Thanks guys for the replies. Sounds like Resorts is the place to stay and use as a jumping off point if needed. 8/5 Bonus is fine for me. Mohegan sun removed theirs and most are now 6/5 with a few 7/5 thrown in. We used to hold our own really well on Bonus poker when it was 8/5. Even when the Royals didn't come, usually the 2,3,or 4 quads and Aces quads would bail us out for the day. I know I will never break my record of hitting Aces quads 5 times in an hour on the same machine on that 8/5 game, but that was a fun day. I think it was in 2008 or 2009, before the dramatic poor results nationwide that started about late summer 2010. When I am able to firm up an exact date for the trip, I will let you know in case some may be down there the same time. A lot depends on my elderly parents situation, but I am thrilled to still have them.

We also enjoyed their diamond and 7 star lounges and enjoyed the shopping and walking up and down the boardwalk.Chatty, since I readily admit I am the most vocal critic of AC, I accept your quote above as a reference to me, so I will reply to it....I totally respect what you say about AC actually being "nice"....in addition to all my gripes, perhaps you have also seen where I repeatedly and emphatically state that I also LIKE Atlantic City and see the potential for greatness underneath all the incompetence and stupidity.....I think AC has many things that no other gaming destination has, and if they could just get their act together, pull their heads out of their arses and unlock this potential, everyone would WIN!The fact that you had such a great time on the two trips you made to AC last year gives credence to what I am saying and shows that there is indeed great potential in AC....however, I would also say that since you "only" went to AC twice in the last year or two, whereas I have been going once or twice per month for 5-7 days at a time (about 10 days per month average) since 2009 without letup, I am in a better position to see EVERYTHING, the good and the bad in the whole picture.....I am going to start a new thread titled "Atlantic City's Problems" because, as of today, February 24, 2014, there are less than 2 years remaining on the "5 year plan to renovate and revitalize AC" that Chris Christie implemented with the Casino Revitalization and Development Authority (CRDA), a governent agency of the state of New Jersey dedicated to getting AC back on its feet in 5 years, or else the state would shift its focus to Northern New Jersey and elsewhere in developing gaming opportunites, and leave Atlantic City to its fate on its own against the competition (and incompetency) that is supposedly "killing it".    Since all the CRDA was able to come up with was "Do AC" as a slogan and answer to Vegas's "What Happens in Vegas Stays in Vegas", I think everyone is starting to see that this whole effort is coming up with one big goose egg.        Everyone prance over to the new thread .......
