Space Between Cards on Deal

Post by Shalimar »

Noticed this the last few days of play, DDBP-50 play. On the deal if there is a three, any suit, the space before the 3 is larger. If the three is held, on the draw the larger space remains, otherwise the spaces on the draw appear equal. The following are some dealt hands and the underscore represents the larger space:
Qd_3c, 3d, Ac, 2h
2s_3c, 4s, 8c, 9s
9d, 4s_3c, 5h, 4c
8s_3c, 10s, 6s, 3D (larger space only before first 3 dealt)
2c, 5c, 9c_3c, 4h
Qs_3c, 8c, 5h, 7c
6c_3c, Js, 2d, 3h (larger spave only before first 3 dealt)
6c, Jc, Qs_3c, 4h
5c_3c, 6h, 7s, 3s

I don't see any pattern, except it doesn't happen when the three is in the 1st (obviously) and the 5th position.

Anyone else notice this? I can't seem to duplicate it.

Let me know if you want something more. I know it is a small thing, but thought you would want to know.

I don't see them in the email yet but I'll look forward to seeing the images when they arrive. Yes, it sounds like a quirky little thing but it's certainly worth fixing if it's not specific to your system for some magical reason.  Once I see the screenshots I'll look into it further.

WOW!  Shalimar has a good eye, WM, I've noticed the same thing and thought my tired old eyes were deceiving me during longer sessions.  It looks like some of the cards in a bottom line hand "jump" to the right a few pixels between deal and a draw.  I haven't written down specific cards it happens with, like Shalimar has done, but I think I know what's happening - it's not a browser problem.

Here's what I think is happening.  I think some of the specific card images are slightly smaller than the rest (fewer pixel columns), exposing more of the background screen when they're displayed.  Makes it look like the cards are "jumping".  If necessary I'll be happy to write down specific occurrences, as Shalimar has done.

Thanks, Shalimar, thought I was going batty and didn't want to report it myself.
