Royal Carribean Cruise Video Poker

Post by antwerp1 »

Anyone have information on video poker on Royal Caribbean cruise lines? Is the casino owned by RC or outsourced? Is there a slot club? Any info on the web to sign up prior to cruising? What are the paytables and are they the same on all of their ships?   I know, lots of questions and it would take a frequent cruiser on RC and a video poker player to know the answers.

I have cruised a couple of times on RCI. As a NOIR with MGM, they have an agreement with RCI, so I get a free cruise each year, as well as automatic entrance into their Club Royale casino players program. This gives me free drinks in the casino, as well as having my shipboard charges comped by the casino host. Comping, of course, would depend on the level of your play.

The casino is fun. Slots are hopeless, though, so I would shy away from those. VP is mediocre at best - not great paytables or game selections. Not that many machines, either. I generally play table games when I cruise. Very social, and you meet a lot of interesting people.

I would recommend introducing yourself to the casino host, and tell him/her what you plan on playing during the cruise. This will help at the end, when you would want your charges reviewed for possible comps.

Welcome to the forum. I found nothing but bad pay tables the time I went. 6/5 job and 7/5 ddb for example. Like Billyjoe, our RCL cruise came complimentary and included free drinks. I think your best bet is to play blackjack or other table game you might enjoy and keep your slot and video poker to a minimum. Good luck. What RCL ship are you thinking of doing?
