Whats the purpose

Players always think the machines are rigged, but the changes we have seen in the last few years are pretty convincing.  Even if you believe the casinos and machine makers are not conspiring to rig the machines, most will agree the new chips have definitely changed the game.  I have no problem with the way the new machines work as long as I can make adjustments to compensate for it.  I don't believe sitting in front of a video poker machine and making the same bet over and over again is a winning strategy in today's video poker. That went out with the dinosaurs and 100% plus video poker machines.

b/t/w, we were in your backyard, at Hard Rock Tampa for 2 days. I was losing money and the wife was looking for retirement home. Even though i had quad A w/kicker on DDB and quad 3 w/kicker on TDB, still had my wallet emptied.  I would agree with some of what you say, other than most VP players are convinced the machines have changed. Anytime DB or myself mention changes or tinkering to the advantage of the casino, there are those who feel otherwise.

I'm not saying the gaming manufacturers and/or the casinos are intentionally conspiring to rig the games. I'm saying the new computers pay the stated odds correctly, they just do it differently.  Whether that is by design or just a result of new hardware or programming, I don't know.   I'm not a conspiracy guy, I'm just stating it like I see it.  You decide.
