IMO Horseshoe is the best casino to play VP in Shreveport/Bossier City. It is a three level riverboat casino with escalators and a very nice presentation when you first walk in. On the bottom floor there are some single game quarter and dollar machines as you first walk in. The DDB is 9/5 and you can play up to 15 quarters at a time. I think the JOB on the same machines are 9/5 as well. Also adjacent to the poker room there are some 50 and 100 game machines, also on the bottom floor, I have done well on before. On the back wall of the bottom floor there are some more quarter/dollar machines with 9/5 payback and in the same area some machines where you can play ultimate x, super times pay, and spin poker.

Overall my favorite place to play VP at horseshoe in just inside the entry to the main or second level. Against the wall they have about 10 machines that yave triple play or 5 play and you can choose between quarters and fifty cents and can play up to 75 coins at a time. I've hit more royals there than anywhere. In the same area there are about 20 or 30 other machines that have other types of VP.

The top floor the only VP is in a small bar area just outside the high limits room as well as about 10 to 15 machines inside the high limit room. My favorite machine in the high limit room is a $1 8/5 Bonus poker machine that pays $5000 for the royal. In the same area overlooking the river there are some other $1 and $5 machines I have had some luck on in the past. Also in the high limit room they have some $5 triple and five play machines that get hit fairly often. The JOB and the DDB on those machines last time I was there was still set at 9/6.

Horseshoe Bossier has a very good steakhouse. Don't know if you are a CET player and have rc's built up. It is a little pricy if you have to pay for it but it is our favorite place to eat while you are there. Their Asian restaurant and 24 hour diner are more reasonably priced and have good food as well. On Friday night the buffet has all you can eat crab legs and like all buffets is kind of hit and miss.

If you are a diamond or 7 star player they have a small diamond lounge that opens at noon every day. It has a bar and only room to seat about 30 people. They do have complimentary hot food such as fried or boiled shrimp and or chicken wings and crab cakes.

Good luck on your trip.

Shreveport did not work out well for me. Could not buy a 4oak. I did find one 9/7 Triple Double Bonus in multi play at El Dorado. Played for quite a while there.

We stayed at the Horseshoe and found the place to be great on the hotel side. I just could not keep anything going at VP. I dropped my entire bankroll before 10 pm. First time I have ever had a full night's sleep in a resort casino.

Maybe next time.

Sorry to hear that Horseshoe did not work out for you. Overall I have done pretty good there but I have had my share of bad trips as well. Like you said better luck next time.
