WOW! What do you make of this?

http://www.trumptaj.com/d/trumptaj/medi ... ts2014.pdf  If this is 100% true, I am truly sickened by the whole situation.....this Union really is the pits!I already learned how the union prez, Mr McDeavit has a relative working in the position of healthcare administrator making over $300,000 a year doing a job they are either unqualified for or which is a sham and totally unneeded. It is clear this Union leadership is working for itself and not its members who belong to the Taj, which it seems to have written off in order to "protect" the members at places like Borgata and CET properties.......What do you all think?

I wonder when the NY casino's open, like the Nevele, if they are gonna be Union. If so, I hope not 1 like this.

Like most things, the truth is probably somewhere in between, IMO. The fact that this letter was written by the Trump CEO tells me that he would like HIS job saved, also.

As I said before, Carl Icahn is no dummy. There is an agenda here that probably goes beyond just the Union and it's Healthcare fund.

As I said before, Carl Icahn is no dummy. There is an agenda here that probably goes beyond just the Union and it's Healthcare fund.   This generally is the tact I tend to take in almost all issues, especially political....the truth as it exists usually falls somehwere in between the two extremes.....but exactly "where" is the real issue, is it more to the right or more to the left of center (paradoxically, RARELY is it EVER right smack dab IN the center....)Way back in the summer when all these issues first surfaced, I truly tended to be more supportive of the union side of the street.......but the last month and change, the more I have heard and learned (not from people like this ceo Griffin but from the actual employees on the floor, both Union and Non union), the more the Local 54 leadership seems to truly be nefarious.     We may never know the entire real truth until long after the Taj is leveled and rebuilt as a bowling alley/Ice skating rink/indoor rock climbing park.....
Valerie McMorris, a cocktail server at the Taj Mahal, said health insurance is the key to her job. Her husband worked at Revel and lost his job when that casino closed on Sept. 2, and their 15-year-old son relies on his mother's health coverage.

"I want to know why Carl Icahn is basing his decision on whether to keep the Taj Mahal open on whether my family has health insurance," she said. "I make $9 an hour. For $9 an hour and no health care, I can work anywhere, and not have to wear 2-inch heels and a skirt."
Read more here:
The link you have is not working, but it is from the Miami Herald just so everyone else knows where to go looking.....But this article and the situation the woman finds herself in is TYPICAL of so many others and illustrates the ISSUES that are at work here and how they all come together to create this seemingly complex, unresolvable mess.Today is the day folks.......December 4, 2014........if they are actually going to try and save the Taj, today is the day they decide to either keep it up and running  or shutter it.I have not heard if or whether the Union leadership (Mr McDevitt)  has made any further comment or progress regarding the offer by Icahn to restore the employee health benefits to the previous arrangement/level.    At this point, if.......IF the Union refuses to drop its appeal of the court's decision to dissolve their previous agreement with the TAJ over health and retirement benefits, the place shutters.I have stated many times, I believe BOTH sides in this mess are responsible for this impasse and therefore BOTH sides must act to solve it.   Right now, at this moment, I tend to lean in Mr Icahn's direction and I would like to see Mr McDevitt and the Union drop the appeal and move on to address the bigger more pressing issues at play......BUT.....ultimately the decision to shutter the place IS in Management's hands and THEY are the ones who are making the choice to shutter the TAJ and let it die.I will be making my own decision about whether or not to go to AC this weekend and stay at what is left of the TAJ late tonight, after learning of what transpires during the course of business TODAY (December 4)

DaBurglar what made you change your position on Carl Icahn? A couple weeks ago you couldn't say enough mean things about the man.
