Can a person get "the casino experience" and "the ocean" by going on an ocean cruise? I've never been on a cruise so I'd like to know if the casino on a cruise ship has windows that you can look out of and gaze upon the ocean blue?

I personally; have nothing but good things to say about Atlantic City.

KK, Do you play golf? Lot's of really nice golf courses within 1/2 hour of the casinos.

Yep I play a lot of golf but it doesn't look like it's going to matter. I can't get anyone to go to Atlantic City with me, would have been plenty of takers for Vegas, Laughlin or Reno but nobody wants to go on this trip.

I understand. I live 1 hour north of AC and would take anything out west over AC. However there are a few nice casinos in AC, most notably the Borgata and surprisingly, a lot of really nice golf courses down there. Local TV has Ron Jaworski aka the Polish Rifle doing commercials for AC golf.

One great thing about staying in AC during the nice summer months (i.e. June thru Early September) is you book a stay at an AC hotel using comped rooms, say over a period of 5 days or so like a Sunday thru Thursday, and actually go travel a couple of those days to areas west of AC, namely other parts of South Jersey along the coastline, and follow the coast around the curve of South jersey, back up to Philly, and then head down into Delaware and Maryland....there are so many coastal communities and sights to see, and stay and eat, etc!      Google the regioun, or simply look at a map and then pick an area......OR, next time you are hanging around a lobby in a hotel or bus station, or travel center, check out that HUGE brochure display they always have featuring the many businesses and places to see and visit in the area.....that's a good place to start putting together a sight seeing trip or tour, something to do during your Non-gambling time.Whatever you do, during your trips to AC, do not waste time and money heading into Philly in order to simply try the few casinos there......
