Bally's AC

Post by Dave1227 »

Last few visits to Bally's I have noticed the slots seem to be a little looser. Not winning a whole lot bet not loosing as fast. Has anyone else noticed and does it carry over to other casinos there because of the lack of crowds.

I don't know about looser, but with the summer crowds for the next 2 months and AC being packed you find the machines turning over more which might lead you to believe that are looser.

I might actually agree with this.....certainly this is how it SHOULD work, or this is how it is SUPPOSED to work, in any given casino in any given North American Market/location (i.e.  Vegas, Reno, Gulf Coast, Atlantic City, Foxwoods/Mohegan Sun, or  ANywhere-in-the-middle-of-No where-USA  etc etc)I have always qualified my beliefs and remarks about my own personal results in AC , stating that it is just as possible (if not more POSSIBLE) that AC casinos have machines that are on the "up-and-up"  and are functioning EXACTLY how they should be functioning in AC's markets, per AC's individual and unique requirements.      In other words, since the wording of AC's gaming regs is more nebulous and "weird" compared to most other state's regs, and given my variegated and diverse responses and answers to questions I have asked over the years from both AC casino employees/managers as well as the AC gaming Commission office itself (located on Tennesse Avenue not far from Resorts & Taj) in AC, it may be possible that Video Poker machines in AC are generating "Slot like" results over the long haul simply because "THAT is how it is designed to work"  in Atlantic City!!!    Hence, if the average VP machine in your average AC casino is, essentially, just another type of SLOT machine (regardless of what we know, think, believe or wish, or what we interpret the wording of the AC regulations to mean )   then the "Avergae long term results" of such VP machines will NOT essentially reflect the paytable return % indicated by the actual values in the paytable, but instead will simply be the low to mid 80s %  slot machines usually pull.....What this means, then, according to the original posters initial post, is that his recent short term "success"  (or lack of "BAD results" I should say)  is simply the slot/VP machine return percent average  "Shaking itself out"  over time!
