VP changes at Resorts

Can't believe the mess at Resorts concerning VP. They removed the machines near the exit doors on way to garage. The set up the area downstairs from the old high limit area. I mean there wasn'toneperson I spoke that wasn't completely dissatisfied . I heard they are using the person who destroyed VP at the Sun to do the same thing here. Lat two times I went were total disasters. My next rep rip will be my last if this continues. Breaks my heart because I am a fairly high roller and get what ver I ask for to have to start over somewhere else is a shame

Hated my one session at Resorts. It was pulling teeth to finally break even. Most of my ordeal was an absolute downer. I had to relinquish Showboat when it closed. Tough to squint my way to the boardwalk and relocate. And it was Loserville. As a high rolling video player's guest, I saw how great the perks were. I know what you mean! All the AC scrambling has been pretty dizzying.

yes  sad but true.....In April, Resorts essentially copied the CET mini-policy of giving 1 point for every 50 dollars wagered on 99% games (like 9/6 JOB) except resorts applied it to ALL video poker in house, everywhere no matter what the paytable.    Such that, to earn even one point or one comp dollar playing any type of VP, a player now has to multiply his coin in by a factor of at least 5;     I cannot confirm that the same person who gutted the mohegan sun is responsible, but it is obvious that, since Mohegan owns Resorts too, they have decided to KILL all video poker in house........I will never EVER grasp this type of short sighted idiocy when it comes to managing business in a casino.        Resorts was just starting to make a comeback when they pulled this stunt......and while they may deem VP  "less profitable" than Slots, what they are forgetting is that VP players who frequent resorts  SPEND just as much money on OTHER things in the casino (like food & restaurants, not too mention shops and gifts), so they LOSE all that business and revenue while seemingly "pruning" low profit margin VP players in favor of SLot players......since MANY primarily VP players are adamant about NOT playing Slots, resorts simply loses revenue and profit without picking up any Slot play from all these lost VP players.

Yes DB. VP players are a flinty, ornery lot set in their ways. Hell no we won't go to slot subjugation status. I like Resorts' fringe benefits. Great Art Deco look, elegance, relative quiet at the north end, great waitresses. Decent evening shows in the theater. But they destroy all incentive for VP players. It shouldn't bother me that much since I would only occasionally visit in any event. My main problem was the difficulty of winning.

Yes, I will miss the basic ambiance and decor too.how did you find the food?   I will still frequent Gallaghers, they have the best food in AC in my estimation.

I dined quite well at both player lounges. Never to Gallagher's, sad to admit. Must do a burger lunch one day! A jitney back should be pretty spacious since Revel and Showboat closed. On the Cheap System I may actually net a buck or two even here.

At first the comment about Resorts copying CET's $50 a point had me stumped. It takes a lot more than $50 for a point at Resorts. But when you figure it takes $5000 to earn $1 comps at CET, Resorts is pretty close to that now. When they send offers for a t shirt for one point, you know it's time to move on.
