Phil: regardless of whatever method one chooses to adhere to, there are never any guarantees except death and taxes ;-). Putting ones self in the best position to play at an advantage is what we as players strive for (I hope!) anyways. I can't see walking up to a bank of machines and randomly play without checking the paytables. Again, I say play whatever method works for you and best of luck. I respect the fact that you are looking for a way to maximize playing time on a limited bankroll.

Agreed.  It's a lot more fun to talk about  past jackpots and cigar smokers.   Time to go to bed.

I happen to enjoy a good cigar although I've only done so twice in a casino. Most everyone WOULDN'T appreciate the smell.
