Games on this site

Post by ecxpa »

It seems that the big winners @ the games on this site is a relatively small group. The same ones seem to appear day after day. I am a relative newbie committed to videopoker in the casino and I do reasonably well at the casino but it seems that I rarely accumulate a lot of points when I practice the games on this site.

Is it because I don't play long enough or could it be that my favorite DDB is just too volatile a game in any setting. Just wondering what games the pros here play as they seem to accumulate Royals quite often; how often and how long do they play.

I usually get in 1-3 hours a day playing DDB mostly and using the training software. I've read zillions of articles online.

I play regularly on this site and have found it's best to play super high volatility games to compete.  Because you are playing for free and there is no down side, why not?  Low volatility games allow you to stay in the top ten longer, but you will rarely win for the day.  On the single line games, you need at least 4-6K points and that's nearly impossible with Jacks or Better or Deuces Wild. It's also an advantage if you can play faster.  Playing fast is not an advantage when playing for real money unless you can find a positive game that you can play accurately.  In a tournament situation where there is no cost, it can make a difference. One reason you often see the same people at the top of the scoreboard is some players quit playing when they hit a big hand.  I hate that, but there's nothing to keep them from doing it. Good Luck!
