I am leaning your way vman and I sure hope we are both wrong. My wallet keeps telling me to leave it home. I am going to continue to play 3 or 5 play spin poker games to build up a larger sample. If I hit 500k or more again, I am definitely going to have to switch casinos. Like I have posted before, I see people hitting royals all around me, but I have no idea how many hands they have played either in the interim. As impossible as it seems, think about the probability of every dealt hand. What is the probability of any hand coming out exactly like it does in the exact order. Add to that the probability of the exact next hand following the prior dealt hand and so on. Maybe like the weather this week, I am just under a continuous rain cloud. I am really going to have to learn more about those pseudo rngs and read up on the subject especially after a long time slot attendant told me that is what they use at the casino. He was retiring and still wouldn't elaborate or didn't know enough to elaborate. He did tell me that IGT keeps this stuff top secret even to the line employees at the casino. Then there is the college math professor I met who has a friend that actually makes these things. I don't even want to post what he said since I didn't hear it first hand from the builder/programmer. This is the funny part. The college math professor I met lives within walking distance from a local New York casino and yet drives all the way to Ct. Money is not an issue by that I mean money to play with is not an issue. He loves vp and yet when at Mohegan, he only plays 2 cent spin poker machines with 95% paytables. Obviously, he doesn't want to risk more and feels by his own admission that the programming at the New York casino is even worse. This is all third hand stuff and there is no way to verify any of it. I know the guy is not a BS artist because number 1, I could just tell he is what he said he is and even named the school and past star students that have gone on to become somewhat famous. We also had discussions that only someone well versed in odds, calculus, and probabilities would have been able to handle. He ran circles around me mostly because I have forgotten most of what I learned 50 years ago and haven't practiced it for the most part either. The old use or lose factor. Rigged? I still don't know and will probably never know. I do know based on my sample of millions of hands that all of the other premium hands than the royal hit for me right on schedule long term. That leaves the question of the royal unanswered. I may actually have to switch casinos and build up a large sample there to even begin to see what the final answer will be.

Well NY state law prevents the racinos to offer "Vegas Style VP", so anyone who cares about strategy mattering in NY needs to drive to AC or Foxwoods/Mohegan. And considering he's a math prof I expect he cares about that.

There are Indian casinos in nys that are supposed to be random. If you trust them, no need to drive out of state.

Hit a RF, but spent a lot to get it, mention that.------------------------------------------------------------Yep, that's about the situation. Another Break Even extravaganza year with ole CET is likely in the offing. Hey, it's entertainment.

If you live in the NYC area, AC and Conn. are much closer than the upstate NY casinos.

There are two banks of machines that I am willing to name that seem 'off' to me...I'd be interested in hearing anyone's success on them.

1. .25 full pay/optimum pay at E.Can on Boulder.
2. Full pay 'Alien' bartops in Luxor Hi limit room. (Alien because they are the strangest looking I have ever seen.)

I play 200000+ hands a year.   These machines defied the feel of even something as good as a 'bad' machine.

Annnnnnnddddd.....discuss....

I played a DW game at a small tribal casino in OR. First time there. Hit 2 Royals in about 3 hours. I copied down the paytable and went home. Looked it up; it was a lousy 94%. Same "luck" has never happened in more than 20 years, playing Vegas and Reno.I took the money, and haven't been back.

People can get lucky on crappier paytables too. It happens. Congrats!
