Glad you will continue as a member of the forum. I think you made a good decision to refrain from posting about VP strategy. Many of us are well versed in basic optimal strategy. The nuances can be covered by the pros, APs and math folks. Your insights regarding casinos, locations and other recreational focused subjects are most welcome. They hopefully will not elicit any personal invective even if folks disagree with your comments.

Thanks for the kind words.  I never wanted to get into a food fight with anyone.  There are lots of ways to enjoy video poker.  Unfortunately, only one way is allowed to be discussed on this forum.  I have no bad feelings about my decision.  I enjoy the game as entertainment  and I'm good with that.  On a personal level, I have serious moral issues with advising players that gambling can be profitable and that betting bigger is a way to gain an edge.   Even if it's true, I think anyone who publicly makes these statements should consider the damage they may be causing.   Maybe it's just me, but I certainly would think twice about it.   This puts me a odds with some forum members who profit from these statements.  I understand their need to make a living, but I think there are some things that shouldn't be sold.   I am tired of fighting that battle.  It is what it is.

A turtle is swimming in a lake minding his own business.
When he hears a whistle from the beach.
A scorpion is trying to get his attention and waved to him to come closer.
The turtle swam toward the beach and looked at the scorpion knowing he was a very dangerous creature.
The scorpion yelled to him, “Hey turtle – would you mind helping me get to the other side of the lake.  I just need a little help.”
The turtle replied, “And how would I do that?”
The scorpion then said, “I will jump on your back and you can swim to the other side.”
The turtle said, “Are you crazy? You will sting me and I will die!”
The scorpion says, “Why would I do that? We would both die. And if you do this favor for me – I will shout your name from the treetops of what a good person you are.”
So the turtle says to himself, “That this makes sense and I could use a little positive publicity.”
So the turtle swims towards the beach and has the scorpion jump on his back, and starts to swim across the lake.
Halfway across the lake he feels a sting in his neck.
He turns to the scorpion and says, “You stung me! We’re both going to die!! Why would you do it??”
The scorpion’s simple reply, “I’m a scorpion.  I sting.  Thats what I do!”
Moral – when you connect with a scorpion that says, “I need your help, I wont hurt you. As a matter of fact, I will promote you,”  beware!!!

Since you like stories with a moral, here's one you may enjoy.  It was written over 2,000 years ago.   I'm pretty sure video poker hadn't been invented yet, but the story is applicable.  I'll leave the moral up to you.The ground of a certain rich man yielded an abundant harvest.  He thought to himself, "What shall I do?  I have no place to store my crops?"Then he said, "This is what I’ll do. I will tear down my barns and build bigger ones, and there I will store my surplus grain.  And I’ll say to myself, “You have plenty of grain laid up for many years. Take life easy; eat, drink and be merry.”’But God said to him, "You fool! This very night your life will be demanded from you. Then who will get what you have prepared for yourself?"Luke 12 16:20

I'll leave the moral up to you.
If there's an applicable moral here, it's certainly not clear to me.

This might help, or not.

No problem.  The book that story came from is actually pretty good.  The hero got into trouble telling people things they didn't want to hear.   This made people angry and they tried to shut him up.  Eventually they had him nailed to a tree.  He came out a winner in the end.
