Beta game switch-up: Final Round

Post by Webman »

Beta Testers,Thank you for continuing to test these
upcoming features. The final release is just around the corner, so we
need your continued help in testing the remaining games that will be
available for release. We are now starting the final part of a 3-phase testing period
of the remaining games, which include a variety of some of our
members' favorites as well as some surprises.  Included
in this phase is a sneak peak at two brand new games that will be heading for the casino floor in the near future: Quick Quads and Wild Thing Poker. Give all of the games a shot in this round and let us know what you think. As usual, please report any bugs that you
encounter and share your thoughts right here in the Beta forum.Games to test in this round include:Quick Quads Poker
Turn a 3-of-a-kind hand into a 4-of-a-kind Quad winner!A sixth credit
wagered funds the bonus without taking anything away from the standard paytable.
After the draw, if the player's hand is a 3-of-a-kind, the two non-matching
cards – ace (1) through 9 – are added together. If the sum is equal to the rank
of the 3-of-a-kind, the player is awarded the 4-of-a-kind pay. Only 3-of-a-kind
2s through 10s can be made 4-of-a-kind using the bonus feature.Wild Thing Poker
Wild cards and "stud" bets add variety to this game. Three cards are dealt
with the first wager, and 3s are wild. Two more cards are dealt with the second
wager, making 5s wild in the 5-card hand. The last two cards are dealt with the
third wager, and 7s become wild in the 7-card hand. Players can win on the
first, second or third wager, or all three. On the third wager, a 7-of-a-kind is
possible.Pick a Pair Poker
Pick a Pair is a simple game that has proven very popular over time. Players
get to see the first two cards of a hand and then pick one pile of three cards
to complete the hand from two piles where all the player can see is the top, or
third, card. A fast playing game that is easy on the mind.Super Times Pay Spin Poker
Spin Poker provides a great "cross-over" game for poker and slot players.
Super Times Pay adds a mystery multiplier event that players can’t seem to get
enough of. The two combined make Super Times Pay Spin Poker™ a game
players will immediately recognize and surely play for hours.Five Aces Poker
This game uses one 52-card deck, plus one extra ace slipped into the deck to
really spice up the hand. The fifth ace means more chances for four aces, four
aces with that juicy kicker, and a BIG jackpot for all five aces! A Five Aces
Poker™ game means more thrills and winning opportunities.PLAY NOW

Absolutely.  I wouldn't want to plug some dough into a new game that I hadn't practiced up on or at least read about the strategy ahead of time. I had to play a good number of hands on Wild Thing before I even began to start forming a real strategy. I pretty much look for 5's and 7's early on and after the first draw, if you have 3 good "hold" cards among your 5 then the next draw is fairly traditional (plus wild 7's and some additional knowledge about the remaining cards to go with your 3 "hold" cards) Of course there are many other factors to consider. It would be interesting to hear what other strategies people are employing.

I'm doing just what you said. It took awhile for it to dawn on me that a 5 or better yet a 7 in the first hand is good. The tought thing to get your arms around is the paytabe. Unlike the Traditional "Let It Ride" game, this one is confusing. Unless you have played a lot of the aforementioned LIR, folding a hand for a guaranteed loss is a concept that VP players are not familar with. We always believe the redeal will be a RF.
This is not one you play early in the morning or late in the afternoon.

The deadliest combination is early in the morning BEFORE coffee.

I agree with what you and WM said about those early 5's and 7's being important.  And the bailing out in the middle of a hand is a different way of thinking.

I've been testing Quick Quads all morning and I am happy to report that the feature that gives us another 10,000 points still works.

5 Aces has been added to the mix.  I think this is the last untested game so give it a whirl along with the others that are up. Five Aces Poker
This game uses one 52-card deck, plus one extra ace slipped into the deck to
really spice up the hand. The fifth ace means more chances for four aces, four
aces with that juicy kicker, and a BIG jackpot for all five aces! A Five Aces
Poker™ game means more thrills and winning opportunities.
