Why play Video Poker when you can instead spend all of your spare time reading this thread?

Pete and Repeat were on a boat. Pete fell out. Who was left?
Lady had twins. She called the first one Pete, and the second one she named.....

I can't find positive VP opportunities without excessive risk.
So where did you find the positive play that has excessive risk?

I haven't found one yet, but I'm still looking. The experts say they exist, so it must be true.

We went to dinner with some friends last night. We met up with another couple who we met years ago in business. The discussions revolved around our latest doctor visits and how we are enjoying our retirement. They are both avid golfers and members of the country club where we ate dinner. The couple enjoys playing golf and for them it's a wonderful way to spend their time. They play golf together at least one day each week and are active in the club socially.

We told them our golf is video poker. Whenever we tell people this, they listen. We told them about our road trip vacations and our travels across the country driving from casino to casino. We told them we never pay for rooms in beautiful resorts and we drink and eat free. We also told them the casino sometimes pays us to be there. Our annual cost to play VP with the comps included is less than half what the other couple pays just to be a member of the country club.

We think VP the way we play it is a bargain. The experts on this forum taught us how to make this happen and we are grateful. We do think the forum would be better served if the experts would address the concerns of players like us instead of pretending everyone has positive games to play and can play them perfectly. Enjoying VP inexpensively is worth talking about.

Sometimes it's a tough decision for me on a nice afternoon whether to play golf or go to AC for the afternoon. Not a decision I have to make for a few months though. Year has started OK. First 2 visits to Borgata have been positive-no royals, but up $ 900 on a good run of Quads on SDB. Good luck to everyone in 2019.

I don't play golf. If I did, I wouldn't consider myself a failure if I didn't make money at the game. I do play video poker. I do the best with what I have and accept the cost as part of the game. Would I be happier if I played bigger to gain better odds? Not if it meant bigger bankroll swings and deeper regrets when I lose. Playing video poker in a book is not the same as playing for real.

I play VP on this forum every day. Playing VP without money involved can be boring. I enjoy playing against other members of this website. I play Triple Triple Bonus which is a game I would never play in a real casino.

It's fun to see the same names every day. Some of them I have had conversations with. There is always some wise cracking going on, especially when a leader is overtaken. It's mostly luck, but there is some strategy involved as well. Try it, you might like it. :)
