Hi, I am wondering if there is a way to factor in $10 free play for each 4 to a royal in a software such as VP4Winners, as far as finding optimal strategy and overall return of the game. Assume non wild game like BP.
Thanks

I am not sure of the question. In general you will only see 4 to a Royal once in a fairly long session. I forget how many hands long term go by before one is dealt 4 to a royal

Now I remember.....long term every 5 hours or so of play or every 2777 hands.

I guess we need a clarification now, it's it $10 FP for missing a dealt 4 to Royal, or $10 for any 4 to a Royal finishing hand?olds442jetaway wrote: ↑Tue Jan 08, 2019 10:37 amI am not sure of the question. I have never heard this number before. Sounds about right. It always amazes me given how common they are, that we don't hit more royals than we do.olds442jetaway wrote: ↑Tue Jan 08, 2019 11:00 amNow I remember.....long term every 5 hours or so of play or every 2777 hands.

The math experts can correct this if wrong. If you get 4 to the royal dealt, then the math says you have a 1 in 47 chance to get the royal on the draw. So, 2777 x 47 is 130,519. That means you have a 1 in 130,519 chance of getting a royal this way each hand.FloridaPhil wrote: ↑Sat Jan 12, 2019 8:38 amI have never heard this number before. Sounds about right. This thread was so top of mind today that I photographed a 4RF, consecutive diamonds. No King. Assassinated?

The correct number for a hand containing 4 to a royal is actually 5*4*47/2,598,960 or about 1 in 2765. But thinking about it, some of those combinations are dealt king high straight flushes, so really you'll only be going for the royal: 4*4*47/2,598,960 + 4*46/2,598,960 = 1 in 2776.6666 like olds said.Waiting4RF wrote: ↑Sat Jan 12, 2019 9:40 amThe math experts can correct this if wrong. And yes it's a 1 in 47 chance to convert leading to a converted four to a royal once every 130,503 hands, which in 9/6 JoB means roughly 40,390/130,503 = 30.94% of royals come from drawing one card.

I believe I've read somewhere that the most common route to a royal is a two card draw to a three card hold.

These odds aren't working for me...I've played many, many hands and have made it into the first 100's twice..What am I doing wrong??
