Slot machine > video poker machine?

The lighter side... playing for entertainment, less concerned about "the math."

thats true, but i feel like im gonna hit a bunch of smaller winners on some dumb slot machine (i'll be sure to pick the one with the cherries, thats what the author of the channel says its a easy win/push)

lately video poker been ice cold to me, my last visit i couldnt hit anything on triple double bonus and jacks or better (not 9/6) was bleeding my credits slowly and my previous trip to that when i did play jacks or better 9/6 it took my 100$ kinda fast

so well see

Actually, Steve, you have another option with your limited funds. When the hypothesis test that you propose has essentially zero power to prove or predict anything, just select that gambling option that will give you the most fun. Or maybe watch football or the History Channel instead.

Anything can happen in the short term. I have won $1,000 playing a penny slot at minimum bet. It doesn't happen often. If you took a video with your phone when this happened, you could post it on YouTube. Would it prove slots pay better than VP? Hardly. Slots are set up to feed you small wins so you stay in the game while they drain your wallet. The big jackpot is there to urge you on.

I just saw a high roller urge his pal to play a machine, one of the four he was somehow juggling in HL room. A machine that's been on my bucket list for 6 months. Sure enough, $1,350 hand pay. They barely acknowledged it. Ah, the idle rich.

Remember the old saying FAA.....money goes to money. A good friend of mine is a retired cosmetic dentist. The best ones earn huge money in that field and my friend is one of them. When he first started his practice 40 years ago, my wife and i were one of his first customers. He was a regular dentist back then. We stayed with him for all thise years. I would meet many celebrities in his waiting room. About 20 years ago we went to the casino several times. He brought 200 bucks and we played craps. He would double his money every trip and quit. He never lost. That’s just the way the cookie crumbles in this world.

Born under a lucky star. I'm a bit upset about losing my free craps bet today. Point four. Just a handful of dollar any craps bets would salvage a few bucks had I bothered. Never heard that precise saying. Just the ubiquitous "the rich get richer." Yours is much more intuitive.

Actually, there is one guaranteed way to become a long term casino winner. Play whatever game you want as big as you want. If you're lucky enough to hit a jackpot putting you ahead, walk out of the casino and never go back in. If your win is big enough, you can brag about it for the rest of your life.

There are other ways, but this one is "guaranteed".

To me, the qualifying phrase "if you're lucky", suggests that it's far from guaranteed.

My sharp scissors are ready to cut the card, thus the cord, with a hand pay. Content with ten coin quarter play about a third of my trip play.
