We only witnessed this issue at the Borgata. It happened on numerous machines throughout the casino. We complained to the slot attendant and showed her what was happening. She called the manager and we waited for 45 minutes. The manager never showed. We were staying at the Borgata fully comped. We immediately checked out and drove to the Mohegan Sun.

We had never seen a suspect video poker machine until then. I wouldn't call their games "rigged". I would call them "unmaintained to the casino's advantage". I reported what happened on this forum. Members can make their own decisions on playing there. If Atlantic City is your only gambling option, you should reevaluate your options. I would rather not play at all than go back there.

so the whole city is a toilet because of 1 casino? atlantic city is my best option and i usually go once a month and while some casinos are not as clean as others just remember it was a fellow gambler who left those ashes all over the machine.as far as food poisoning goes,if you got food poison in 1 restaurant in your area you 're not going to eat anywhere else in that area cause you think you're get food poisoning again?don't condemn a whole city because of a bad experience at 1 casino.

Glad you guys can still enjoy OttaBill the Bingo sessions. I tried, but never had the patience for it. It certainly would have been cheaper than vp for me.
Olds, FP. Bingo is a nice way for us to spend an evening for around $200 (you can spend much less for fewer cards). Neither of us are very patient but the high stakes bingo at Native American casinos here keep our attention. We play with machines so there is little if any daubing. Gives us time to talk and discuss our prospects while keeping track of multiple cards (over 100 each for some games). Sessions last about 4 hours. We can also have a snack, drink (soft drinks are complementary), etc. while not missing a beat. Where we play, payouts for regular games are $600 and $1199 though sometimes multiple winners need to split. Specials usually are often $1000 though jackpots can be significantly larger. We meet nice people there as well. It's relaxing. Unfortunately, you need to pass through smoking areas to get to the non-smoking room, the restrooms, the snack bar, and the buy in area though there is no smoking once there. We don't miss VP though were a non-smoking VP room were adjacent with games we like I'm sure we would play some before or during intermission.

I reported what happened. If you believe what we witnessed was our imagination or bad eye sight, you can't say you weren't warned. We play VP all over this country. I have seen gas station casinos in New Mexico with better machine maintenance. We were warned before we went to AC about the parking lots and the crime. We took the advice and stayed close to the hotel. If AC is the only place you have to play, I am truly sorry. There are much better places to play VP.

When we arrived at the Mohegan Sun, it was like going to another country. I hit four aces with a kicker at the bar within 5 minutes after sitting down. That was pure luck. All the machines at the Mohegan Sun work. We met Olds442jetaway and he went overboard to get us a comped room. I caught the flu in AC and spent most of my time in bed. Why anyone would play in AC with a first class casino like the Mohegan Sun in the area is beyond me.

i have played at both AC (multiple casinos) and tampa well over a hundred times. both locations have VP machines that have faulty buttons and are often in dis-repair. it seems to be standard fare for VP machines. have also eaten in both many times, never got sick. of course, i would never eat anything with mayo and cream sauces in it.

but indeed, AC is a sewer. the city, many parts of the casinos are just terrible. and what would one expect when revenues dropped more than 50%, after the great recession. something had to give and casino management must have decided that cleanliness and security/safety were cut back. add in the homeless and the hookers that wander in, and there is no denying that AC has deteriorated over the years.

but, if it is the only place one has to play, some folks just live with it. i just wouldn't defend it, admit what it is.

There is a difference in bad deal buttons and what we saw in AC. Normally, a bad deal button will not trip, you have to beat on the thing to deal a hand. This was different. At the Borgata, the hold buttons would arbitrarily decide to hold cards without showing it. The same card you just threw away would appear in the second hand. My wife, a former banker with perfect 20/20 vision noticed it. She showed me and I started watching for it. We moved and the same thing happened on other machines. The casino didn't seem concerned. We left after that.

I don't have a dog in this fight. I was responding to Ted's post.

Now we are back to the mysterious buttons that illegally return your discarded cards right back to you.
Amazing that in the thirty years AC existed before Phil visited, no one ever showed that, nor in all the months since. I'm still confused on why Phil didn't video these and turn them over to someone. Hell, TMZ would buy such a video. Sitting on the story of the century, Phil choose to simply leave town.
The man who starts dozens of threads each month designed to help newcomers doesn't care about his fellow players. Heck, he can't even tell us which machines are so illegally fixed so we can avoid them.

Mohegan Sun has been going crazy cleaning and trying to keep ahead of the pigs who leave buts, ashes, and other unmentionable things on the machines. They are desparately trying to get a high Forbes rating. I know you and mrs Phil were under the weather on your last visit. Work in a replay sometime. I still have my soar rating so getting u guys an overnight or two wont be a problem. Also the new smoke free MGM is less than an hour drive
