Had a small, unexpected gathering at my apartment and ended up ordering Pizza Hut for delivery. They are surprisingly cheap, with $5 one topping pizzas. Four of them and four sodas was $25. They do charge $3 for delivery plus a tip so pickup is much cheaper. Decent, not spectacular pie.
On one of the boxes was a coupon for $10 off a $20 order. That's a great bounce back offer.
Save the customer money while building brand loyalty. They also have a reward program that gives a free pie every $75 you spend.
Yummy brands seem to have their act together. Maybe they can buy a casino or two.

Even if we exclude the sodas, at $5, figuring 20 minutes for an individual to consume a pizza, I calculate this was a loss of around $1.67 an hour. With coupon on your next visit, that could be reduced to a loss of 83 cents an hour or an average of $1.25 for the two visits combined.

I must thus conclude that eating pizza is a negative opportunity. I suggest you find something more worth your time than eating food.

I'm trying to help people eat pizza for less. Some people don't realize there is an alternative to bad pizza so I'm going to post incessantly. Next time you see someone who doesn't weigh 350 pounds, know that he just might have taken my advice. Remember the good old days when there was decent pizza on every corner. Those days are long gone and the idea one can still enjoy pizza is wrong. Sure, a few lucky people can eat at the few great places, but most of us have to do with far less. Some may mock me, but educating the wanna be pizza eaters is a noble cause. Just ask me, I'll tell you. Tomorrow, I'll start another thread and tell you again. If I didn't think people could benefit from my vast pizza experiences, I wouldn't feel the need to post but this is a crisis.

In the 1890s, two brothers came from Italy. One scrimped and saved and finally had enough money to open his own pizza place. The very first in America. He named it after his father- Umbertos.
His brother was a bit skeevy and soon found himself having to leave NY due to bad debts.
He went to Chicago and eventually opened his own place. Thinking back to how proud his brother was of having the first pizza parlor in America, he decided to call his place Pizzeria Uno.

BTW- Uno's has always been my favorite pizza in that area; "Chicago Pizza And Oven Grinder" located at 2121 N Clark St in Chicago is a NO MISS...

I'm a Chicago Southsider and we have many great choices on this side of town as well

I'm not a huge fan of Chicago style pizza, although I've only had it a few times.

I’m only ten minutes from the best Apizza in the world and Mohegan Sun has a Pepe’s as well. That said, our Pizza Hut in town closed last year. Even though nobody in these parts considered it to be real pizza, I enjoyed their 5 buck senior buffet lunch once in awhile. It was very good. All kinds of pizza, pasta, salad, even fruit.

My favorite real Apizza is still the old fashioned tomato pie with grated cheese. It saves tons of fat calories as well. When I was a kid, we would ride our bikes to Rocco’s. A delicious small tomato pie was 65 cents. Three of us would share it. We would each eat two slices. There would be two left. We would flip a coin at the same time. The kid who showed a head or tail different than the other two was out The other two got the last pieces. Once in a while we would all have heads or all have tails and have to flip again.

Bill, There has got to be some NY style pizza somewhere in Las Vegas. If not, there is a business oppurtunity for you.
