What I'd (You) Would Like to See Discussed on The Recreational Forum

So what is it you want to talk about on on the Recreational Forum? Here's something new.

Last year was a terrible year for us. We lost our little dog Katie. In June my wife fell and shattered her knee cap and broke her arm. Some how my wife got through this. She messed up her wrist too. She is having an operation on her hand this Friday. It will slow down her video poker for a while. The dog issue was another matter. He thought we wouldn't get another dog.

Today we are driving to South Carolina to pick up our new baby. We are both very excited. Here's a pic.

The fact is we wouldn't need the Recreational Forum if we all acknowledged that most players don't have positive VP games to play or the skills and bankroll to play them. The struggle most of us have is keeping the casino from debiting our checking accounts on a regular basis. If this happened, we could discuss VP peacefully in light of our own environment instead of games that don't exist for us. This will never happen because the experts don't want to talk about limiting losses. It's bad for business.

Perhaps some day in the future all VP will be 97% and the experts will find something else to do with their time? Then the whole world will play VP for entertainment and we will all get along peacefully.

Phil you were the one who originally asked for the recreational forum to be created. You then morphed it into a strategy forum and many people jumped on you for that. You fail to realize that talk of things such as betting systems and how to stretch your gambling dollar do not belong in the recreational play forum because ultimately they are strategies and talk of that belongs in the strategy forum. You did not talk of them there because you knew that you would get shredded more there than you have here in the recreational play forum. Couple that with the fact that you have turned discussions around and bogged them down by posting the same information that you have posted probably over 100 times.

We all get it: you want to be the spokesperson for all things negative about casinos that people don't like to talk about; you want to warn people that they will lose money in a casino if they are not careful; you want to help players make the right decisions when playing. That's very noble of you but your message is getting diluted more and more here each time you bring it up and that doesn't help you.

Edited to add: what you just posted about what a terrible year it was for you and your family is just a slam against the originator of this thread and not very adult of you.

Here is my message as simple and concise as I can state it.

There is no such thing as a "guaranteed to win" short or long term video poker strategy played by human players. There are strategies that will make it more likely. If we can all agree on those two points, there is no need to say anything further on that subject.

I have no idea what you are talking about. How is this slamming anyone?

Simply reread the very first post in this thread and then ask yourself if any of the things you wrote about related to any of the things that the thread originator spoke of. Then ask yourself if this was your way of retaliating because you were brought up in the first post?
