Oh by the way Sarah try to ignore the "grumpy old men" who are COMPELLED to bash FP. He's only right 90% of the time ,which is about par for this forum ,but they bash away fulltime.
90% right? I'll take that as a compliment in this group.

Sarah, all I do on this forum is report what happens when I play video poker. Sometimes what happens is not what some members expect. Video poker is made up of totally random events that have no connection to the last event or the next. Anything can happen. If you play long enough, it probably will. My advice is enjoy yourself at the casino. Don't take this stuff too seriously. Play within your own financial and personal tolerance level where you don't miss the money. Above all, have fun.

Yes. If you're gonna miss it, don't risk it!
It sometimes takes money to make money, however. My recent RF came after -$118. Service was quite tardy.

Does anyone see a problem with the payoff on sarah's royal? Or is it my lack of intelligence, due to being a recreational player.

My first guess would be that sarah took the picture while the meter was still counting up on the royal. My second guess would be.....

I am sorry if you believe the only reason for this forum is to congratulate our members on their jackpots. I am aware gamblers only talk about winning, never how much they lose. Over the many years I have played VP, I have become aware that losses are more significant than wins.

The best way to hold down your losses is to play less, either less hands or less money per hand. My wife and I have most likely played more hands of VP than 98% of the members on this forum. There were many times when we played for a week at a time. We drove and flew all over the country. We played 100% games and a lot of negative VP too. For 99.9% of the players, beating the casino long term is pure fantasy. That dream fills casinos with hopeful losers and sells a lot of stuff promising to make you a winner. There is nothing wrong with a dream as long as it doesn't override your common sense.

I tell people I play VP for entertainment. I think it's great fun. If you play like the experts tell you, you will play a lot cheaper than most. I don't tell people they can beat the casino because most won't. Some members don't want to hear that. I am sorry if that ruins your day, but it's true.

Really? It sure wouldn't take much effort to unearth scores and scores of your posts that do a lot more than simply report your playing results.

My playing results show playing my VP games cheaper or less reduces my long term cost of a day at the casino. I think this is worthwhile information to the average Recreational Player. Compare my statements to experts who teach playing $10 games with an edge is profitable. While this may be true, which one is more useful to the most people?

How many video poker players make a long term profit? Let's say a million people each year play VP. Do you think 1,000 are long term winners? Even it's that high, that leaves 999,000 long term losers. If you owned a casino, would you be worried that an expert would teach your players how to beat you at your own game?

I'm not on this forum to tell players how to beat the casino. I'm here to tell them how I enjoy the game without taking big risks. What the expert's say is true. If you play net positive VP games 100% computer perfect forever, you will have the best chance of beating the casino. I don't have those games, skills or that much time. Neither does anyone else I know.

Phil, stop it again with the Bob Dancer bashing. You started it a while back talking about "the experts" who teach playing $5.00 games with an edge is profitable. You now bumped it up to $10.00 games only because Bob Dancer recently wrote of a $10.00 game that he may have been playing. Nowhere, NOWHERE was Bob advocating that anyone but HIM play that game unless they could afford to do so.

Grow up, get off you soap box writing about this same crap that you've written about hundreds of times allready. In your 1:27 pm post today you wrote ABSOLUTELY NOTHING new or informative.

Yes your first guess is correct. I took the picture while the meter was still counting.
