Re: 97.06DW vs 97.02TDB?
Watched a youtube video on vulturing a new game. Went to a casino to cash my free play and found the machine I was looking for. It wasn't primed. Came back 15 minutes later and one machine was set. Three spins later, cashed out $82. It's definitely not worth seeking these things out, as making money evidently ruins the entertainment value of playing for some people.

I do on occasion. From a purely math standpoint, I believe it is the most efficient option in Tampa. To last all day on a 50 cent machine, I would need to up my bankroll to $600 a day. One day last year, I played max coin dollar VP all day with $1,000 bankroll. Telling my wife I lost $1,000 at the casino was not something I wanted to face. I didn't want to admit I was that stupid. Luckily, I hit a quad deuce and was bailed out at the end. After that, I changed my strategy.Carcounter wrote: ↑Wed Mar 27, 2019 2:36 pmPhil, the better paytable at the Hard Rock is available at the .50 denom. Why not play .50 at max coin?
Avoiding big bankroll swings is worth more to me than long term results. Playing single coin dollars mixed with $20 max coin pot shots lets me play all day. It also makes it easier to manage my money. I have never been happy with playing the same game at the same denomination all the time. I did this last year playing Bonus Poker and had a good result. I missed the excitement of the dollar pot shots.
All these games are negative even with comps. If you are going to play negative games, you choose how you are going to lose long term. Playing the way I do limits my losses and enhances my entertainment.

I hate playing at constant denomination. Unless I get a quad or better, cost is at least $10 an hour, and I was taught to save. I'm determined to shave costs. Must avoid the early hole and return whole.

was it wrong to go back to DW and get short payed on few different hands?
had i stayed on TDB would i have hit any 4oaks?
its so insane how one hand 10 extra credits can go from 97 to 99 while different game 3 hands can go from 100.76 to 97
my wife seems to be proof that more violentile games yield profits and can skyrocket your bankroll if its your night to win while DW type of game is a grind and still a gamble but a controlled gamble? i probably should have played TDB if i wasnt in the for the long haul but i think most players would agree losing 100$ how fast that game takes your money is crazy just as fast as it gives it
Henry Tamburin said you can get anywhere from 3-13 royal flushes in a span of 250khands
sure enough my frugal wolf poker mirrors his statement and its a good gamble if you can reach 8-10 royals in that slice of 250k hands but more times than not you will lose this sims were on aces and faces 99.25 games i guess royal flushes make or break bankrolls not so much the draughts on the lower hands

Does your 250,000 hand simulation account for cashback, mailers, double points, comps and the like?

CET is notoriously cheap on the full pay machines. It is what it is. Just let those quads flow, and they have been. Weather is improving too!

There are many Recreational VP Players who do not consider comps as part of their winnings. They should.
Comps have value. My weekly bankroll is about $300, so I'm not a high roller. I also break even more than 50% of the time. My free play is about $25 a week, that's one extra royal a year. When I visit my son in Ft. Lauderdale, we stay free at the Hollywood Hard Rock. A nice hotel in South Florida costs a minimum of $200 a night plus $25 in parking. Add in 8-10 comped rooms a year and that equals two more royals. Right now my comp points are up to $150. I never pay for breakfast or lunch at the casino. I can also convert my points to free play when they have special promotions. I have never won a drawing, but there may be one in my future.
Bill is right to point this out. Our comps won't turn a negative game positive, but they definitely have value.

yea ballys and caesars seem to be the worst in comps, but tropicana and sands pa sends us free play money and comp hotels.
makes me not want to play their games altogether
