97.06DW vs 97.02TDB?

Using South Point because I know their system, let's look at what you'd get.
250,000 hands at $1.25 we round out to $300,000 cash in.
At $3 per thousand, that's $900 cash back, more if you do double point days.
A once a week player will get a mailing for $5 a week.
At the end of the year, cash and comps easily add up to a max coin Royal. Hardly any variance, either.

some casinos are more giving than others, i played at palms 2 sessions and i manage to get free play and free night hotels, i played ballys/caesars in ac owned by same company and i played over 8 sessions and no free play no free night stays

i see what you are saying Bill, if you lose you still win and if you win that doubles still risky cash wise
im still waiting for the day they install FPDW in atlantic city

At casinos like South Point where you can play near 100% games with cash back and generous comps, anyone who has the skill and discipline to play like an expert should be able to profit from VP.

Outside of those opportunities, it's not so easy. This makes a casino's comp program more significant. When the best game is 98.9%, you have a lot of losses to make up. At 96-97% you must limit your coin-in or you will be paying for your comps big time. The trick is to play big enough to earn the comps you want but not so big you pay too much for them. Each casino is different.

The Florida Hard Rock's comp program is generous, but points expire quickly. This favors locals. There are tricks that can boost your comps. They may not work the same everywhere. $20 dollar pot shots are an example. Last week, I hit a $1,000 quad deuce on a $20 pot shot. This week I found my free play was $45 instead of $25. If I played dollar VP all the time, my free play could easily be $100 a week or more. My losses would also be significantly higher. There is nothing the Hard Rock can comp me to make up for those losses. Mixing in some slot play helps too. You need to experiment to find out what works where you play.

Almost any large casino resort will comp your room during the week. Get a player's card, become a regular and ask them. My mailbox and email is always full of offers. You have to get there, but we are lucky because Miami is only 4 hours away. I'm pretty sure we could stay for a month in Biloxi if we played all day. With their games the way they are, we would run out of money before they kicked us out.

Let's not forget they are notorious for cutting people off and booting them out.

And, if you happen to have a good trip, and ask for a meal comp - well, forget it!

I don't know any successful pro who has been kicked out of SP, or had their play on VP restricted.
Do you have specific examples or is that just rumors?

I'm curious as to what gets a VP player booted out of a casino. Is it only playing full pay games? If you don't want people to play them, don't put them in.

A few years back I read where someone was banned for hitting multiple $100,000 royals in one night. If I was a casino manager and I saw Bob Dancer playing $100 games in my casino, I would be checking my games and my comp program. Just saying...
