Aha! Do take time to smell the roses. I'd be too busy dancing and leaping to photograph anything.

$1,169 win on the second unless I'm mistaken?
You are. He must have taken the picture as the credits were rolling in. The jackpot was something like 2070.

And speaking of jackpots, slightly more than 10 grand's worth there. Sweet!

What was the time frame for all that?

Thanks OMT. I got there right before midnight and walked out about 4:15 am Sunday morning. I did put a few bucks into a penny slot and played for about 15 minutes, quit after hitting a $108.00 bonus. I also earned DIAD too.

For the record: I didn't intend on playing at that denomination the whole session but decided to stick it out and see what happened.

Or in his case, consistent winner.

He posts photos every now and again when he has a good day, which is great --- more power to him. None of us, obviously, post photos of every single session because none of us, obviously, win every session. I am sure that when Ted wins we see his photos of the jubilant event! Not taking anything away from his --- I'm happy for him. But in a negative game such as he was playing at Joliet, the outcome is frequent losses and occasional nice wins. I've been playing since the early 1990's, in LV and many other locales, and while you can come out ahead by sticking only to situations where paytables and comps are > than 100%, you can't be a consistent winner on paytables such as exist at Joliet. But if he's enjoying the game and he has a strict budget, then I have nothing but admiration for him!

Nice recovery from your stubbed toe. They have taken my toe, all of my foot and my leg up to my knee.

He lost about $600 the night he met me, iirc. Ted doesn't post losing sessions much because he realizes people are probably less interested in reading them.

Also see: Lucky Larry

I went to the casino last night in Wisconsin Dells. I lost maybe $25 playing like a cheap bastard. Hope Vegas goes better for me next week!!! It was a bit notable because there was a game available that this site doesn't have. Double Big Wheel Poker.

The feature adds less than 0.01% to the return though. WTF IGT?

In the interest of integrity VP.com style, from now on I will post photos of my big losers as well as my big winners. There. Everyone happy?

(In reality, photos of nice winning hands offer hope to all of us, in addition to being interesting and entertaining. In other words, who pis*ed in your Wheaties?)

Hey, even I had a RF this month. Our collective luck has seemingly spiked. Informative to know of a significant loss too, however. Misery does love company.

I did have a small losing session when I met Vman down in his neck of the woods a couple years ago and I believe I wrote about it here.

I believe there may be a bit of a misconception with some here about my play. Yes, I live within an hour's drive of several casinos but I don't run to them nearly as often as others here go to casinos. I believe that I wrote of my last visit to Four Winds Michigan where I lost and I mentioned that I most likely would not be going back there for a while (if not longer) because they took out my two favorite DreamCard machines and replaced them with the new versions. Those original DreamCard machines were the only reason why I was going there.

I play when it is convenient for me and when I feel like playing. I like to win and I play to win. This past weekend I decided to ramp up my session play after things started flowing my way and besides the jackpots I also earned Diamond in a Day so I atleast have that in the books for next year.

I decided to severely reduce my casino play this year mainly because my AGI in 2018 got crazy because of everything I did in the casinos. This was evidenced in an infamous challenge made to me here by someone.

For me, I am content with enjoying this site to its fullest and making an occasional trip to a brick and mortar casino. I also do not patronize the machines in Illinois that have popped up in restaurants, bars, gas stations, where ever. I have only played a machine like this once in a nearby restaurant while I was waiting for a carryout order. I ended up hitting the machine for a state mandated max jackpot of $500.00. I then tipped $40.00 to the girl who finished my take out order, telling her what had just happened on the machine. If anyone doubts this I will make her name and telephone number available under the same terms of a prior challenge made to me.

I wish everyone here luck in their casino play, no matter how they play. The only advice I ever offer is to learn the game(s) you want to play and always play at a denomination where you can play max coin in.
