We can banter back and forth forever, or we can get right down to it. If you only have two choices, playing single coin dollar 98.9% Deuces Wild or 97.055% max coin five quarter Deuces Wild, which is the better choice? Don't say you wouldn't play. That's not an answer.

Given the mandatory choice of being punched in the left nut and a chance to win $1000 or getting punched in the right nut and an equal chance at $250, I'll offer up the left nut.

This forum is functionally useless to the vast majority of small time video poker players who out number advantage players millions to one. Our experts only talk about games few people can play. Our members choose to ignore the fact that most VP games are negative. What happens? Players go to the casino with a stack of VP strategy books. They check out the odds. Where are those positive VP games they read about? They get a players card and the comps they earn aren't worth standing in line for. They play like the pros play advantage games and get slaughtered.

Playing negative VP games is different than playing full pay games. The math is upside down. The more hands you play or the bigger you play, the more you lose. Why am I upset with the expert? Because he won't teach people this. It's better for business if he says "Don't play those games" when he knows they will.

If the expert wants to help the majority of VP players, I challenge him to answer the question I asked above. That is a question small time VP players are asking every time they walk into a casino. "If you only have two choices, playing single coin dollar 98.9% Deuces Wild or 97.055% max coin five quarter Deuces Wild, which is the better choice?"

Phil, how many times have you recently stated: that you play the way you play and you are not advocating that other people play the way you play, and that you are not here to tell people how to play?

In relation to what I wrote above, stop "being upset with the expert." What bearing does this have to do with your personal video poker play? As you've also recently stated: you have actually started following some of what "The Expert" dispatches and it has helped your game.

what game would you play?
all max bets
all from win poker
all end result ends each 2500 hands
a quick glance the two that stand out are joker poker and TDB with less losses and huge wins

if i had to choose personally max coin or single id choose max only because id be kicking myself for not getting the most coins from the royal flush or high end jackpots

i also tried martin galing TDB 250:250 all the way up to 1600$ always trying to win a 100$ or so i managed to lose 1600 at 5995 hand while win poker flat bet won 7320 with a 380 bankroll on 97%

i can't force luck i can't force a royal flush or predict it

But, you do have more than two choices, and to restrict the answer to only the two you have selected is akin to asking a person if, upon falling off a 500 foot cliff, they would rather land in water or on a rock.

FloridaPhil has been suspended for one week on the following grounds:

1) He's posted pretty much that exact post several times before and it has already been discussed several times before. The repetition is a nuisance.

2) "This forum is functionally useless to the vast majority of small time video poker players who out number advantage players millions to one." That's fine to have that opinion of course, but... "Our members choose to ignore the fact that most VP games are negative." This is false. I don't think there is a single member this actually applies to, much less all of them. And finally, "The more hands you play or the bigger you play, the more you lose. Why am I upset with the expert? Because he won't teach people this." This is ridiculously untrue.
