My Suspension

Last week I was suspended from this forum for repeating myself and allegedly making false statements. The way forum rules are currently being interpreted, you have the right to disagree as long as you don't disagree too much. I have essentially been posting the same thing for over eight years. Evidentially, I crossed some line in the forum rules this time.

I have never claimed to be a video poker expert. I choose to play my video poker small. On numerous occasions, I play single coin to stretch my playing time. We enjoy our time at the casino. I play a lot more hands of video poker with less money than most players. The casinos let us stay free overnight during the week and let my wife and I drink and eat free. Casinos all over the country send us offers which we take full advantage of. There is nothing any casino can give us that would lure us into accepting more risk when gambling. We go to the casino to reduce stress, not take on more.

I have not or has anyone in my family ever been harmed by my video poker play. I do not wish to go to bed at night thinking something I posted on this forum would be responsible for hurting someone financially or breaking up a family. Video poker is very addictive. If I am going to contribute to your addiction, I would rather you be addicted to playing single coin quarters than $25 or $50 a hand.

From my first day on this forum, I have been an advocate of playing video poker as entertainment. None of the video poker players I know refuse to play because the game odds are negative. If they did, no one would play video poker at my casinos. Even if it was proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that playing $5 games is profitable, few would play them. I recommend Recreational players choose the games they play based on their expendable income and their tolerance for losing. This forum should be open to all players. No one should be disrespected or insulted because they cannot or do not choose to play VP like a professional.

Some time ago, I asked Webman for a "math free" forum where players could discuss playing VP any way they wish to. My request was granted. Unfortunately, the Recreational forum is constantly harassed by members who believe it is their purpose in life to disrupt our discussions. The main offender is Bill Ryan. I could post that Almighty God was going to be a guest expert on our forum and I am sure he would counter with negative comments. He rebuts every one of my posts with name calling and insults. He has no regard for individual moral sensitivities. Others on this forum have been targeted as well. Many never return for fear of more abuse. This forum should have a zero tolerance policy toward the harassment of posts.

I respect the Strategy Forum. I have benefited from the expert's advice. As long as they don't use their forum to take shots at me, our contributors or our posts, whatever they want to discuss is fine with me. All I am asking for is the same respect in return
