I hopefully opened the Welcome Back FP thread, anticipating a free play discussion!
I am determined to actually retain my free play winnings going forward. I will place the proceeds in an envelope labeled a green FP. This in turn goes in a zippered envelope containing player cards and loose change. Safe home.
FP Retention

The title of this forum post is misleading when compared to the actual post content. At first I was thinking FP stood for something else.....

FAA thought it stood for something else in the thread he referenced.
It it did stand for free play, I think everyone would have been excited.
FAA... so your plan is to take everything that's left after your play your free play through and keep it? Sounds like a great idea!

Correct. Fully capture that cash. If I lose half my BR, FP can cover about half of that. Calmer ride home.

I like it. A couple of questions. How are you going to play your free play? Are you going to bet it big or small? The same games you always play or higher variance?

Same old quarter JOB and the craps bet. I expect $40+ to indisputably leave town with me, as opposed to returned to the original casino or one of its competitors.

I usually just run my FP once and pocket whatever I get - gas money for the ride home.

That's what I must guarantee. I fritter it away back into the system, which is foolhardy.
