What was the most free play you ever received?
A couple of years ago, Mohegas Sun had a promotion for mystery free play. They have it every so often and it is usually 15 or 20 bucks. Once in a blue moon it is 50. This time it was 250 bucks. That is the largest I ever received in a lifetime of playing.

I play on my own and my wife's card. I have been doing this for years. I do worry I will hit a hand pay on her card and they will give me some grief, so I play small on her card. The issue has never come up.
The most free play I have ever had in a day was about $180. This happened from a combination of bounce back and bonus free play combining both cards. It was unusually large. My casino gives away a lot of free play via drawings. You must be in the casino with your card in the machine to win. I have never been there when my name was called. At one time they had a promotion where they walked around and awarded $500 in free play randomly. A lady playing next to me won once.
Tampa has a new promotion where a spinning wheel comes up on your screen. You can win up to $1,000 in free play. So far the most I have won on the wheel was $25.
Currently, my casino has free play drawing all day long. I'm still waiting for my turn. Some of these drawings are for huge amounts of free play. They only give you 48 hours to play it all. The biggest prize I have ever seen awarded in a casino was a new car. You don't want to win merchandise. It's a real pain tax wise. Back when I was fishing professionally, I won a couple of fully rigged boats. Not worth the trouble if you asked me. Cash is a different story.

Years ago, pre-recession, Bally's AC had monthly 3x cashback promotions. I think the base cashback rate was .33%, so you were getting 1% cashback these months. Plus .67% comp dollars that could be converted to gas cards at a 1 to 1 rate. They had 9/5 Double Jokers (99.97%) in the high limit room triple play for dollars. 15 bucks a spin. I played these twice a week. It was common for me to have $250-$300 in free play waiting for me each trip. The good old days.

Wow. I have never seen anything close to that. Since Katrina, the gulf coast has some of the worst VP odds in the nation. Comps are practically worthless. Free rooms are easy. They can be a nice vacation if you control your play. Florida is not too bad if you play $1-2 dollars a coin. No way are these games anywhere near positive, so I stick with quarters and play for entertainment.Carcounter wrote: ↑Tue Apr 30, 2019 5:59 amYears ago, pre-recession, Bally's AC had monthly 3x cashback promotions. I like free play, who doesn't? There was a time when I considered it something extra. These days I play it just like the rest of my money. If I earn $25 a week, that's an extra royal a year.

I saw an obese male slot zombie awarded $1,000 FP at Bally's AC. If all he played were slots, poor ROI.

It seems long ago, but there were positive plays in AC back then. I used to see the same people playing the same machines every Friday afternoon.FloridaPhil wrote: ↑Tue Apr 30, 2019 6:42 amWow. Many years ago before vp, foxwoods walked up to the craps table I was playing at and gave everyone at the rabke 200 bucks cash. They had announced the mystery bonus gang would be wandering around the casino. Like Phil, I have never won anything while sitting at my machine, but have seen other people win a couple of times. The most amazing win I ever saw though as posted befote was the lady on a 2 seater penny machine win the 2.3m progressive jackpot at Mohegan. That was something. She took it very calmly. Hope she still has most of the money

Offers wise, I think $55 twice a week. Promo wise, won $1000 free play from a pull tab promo.

I won $750 in free play at Casino Fandango in Carson City a few years back. It was one of the randomly selected to play a live game gigs they have here and there. Card Shark I believe it was at that time.

Several years ago we went on a junket to Lake Tahoe. They had a raffle mid flight, $10 per ticket, we bought 2 tickets. The folks in front of us bought about 10 tickets. As they were counting down the winning number those folks were sure they had it in the bag.
We ended up winning the $1200. Played on that money for 3 days, didn't touch the money we took with us.
