Post by Nancy J. »

Was dealt quads in quick quads and program crashed before it could register my score. Boo hoo.

I reported a similar problem two days ago. Was it real quads or quick quads? Did it just crash or did it lock up like mine?

Terrible timing for a bug to be sure... can you describe the crash in detail so I can try to locate the source? With 2 people getting this, clearly something is up within the game.Did the browser close? Did the control buttons just lock up? Did it redirect you to another page? How long had you been playing when this happened? First hand, several hands, or more than 20 hands?Did your score get added on the main game display before the crash? If you had sound turned on, did the sound of adding up your winnings take place? Did it yell "Quick quads!" for each hand?Do you recall what cards the quick quad came from? Perhaps the payout amount may be related.I know some people have reported getting dealt quick quads with no problem so it could be tricky to locate and may take a little time. Any of the above info would be helpful.

Just to clarify for both of you, ignoring the Top Scores interface to the right, on the gameplay screen  you saw the score by each hand and it said "quick quad" in text, but it did not total at the bottom within the in-game score area where your credits are normally shown counting up after a hand.  Is that right?Nancy, I'll run it through safari and see what I find.  Shadowman, I forget... what browser and version are you using? (I don't think this is browser related but it helps to check)

Webman, that is right. Sounds like Nancy's problem and mine are identical (I guess that's good news).

I'm using IE7.

I tried to hit refresh scores a couple of times to see if it would unlock. THis had no effect. The scores window also quit updating.

On a good note. The problem with delays in keying, etc. growing over time seems to have gone away recently.

I don't think so. I was just dealt 9 3 6 9 9  and it locked up exactly like last time. that makes me 0-2.

Nancy, what cards were you dealt?

Nothing in the program has changed.  I'm pretty sure our game developer won't be answering emails today. 9 3 6 9 9 gives me a good place to start.Nancy, do you remember your payout or cards? It sounds like it's an issue within the flash program itself since it's happening on Macs and PCs alike, but it's too early to rule anything out.  Hopefully there is something related between the "lockup" hands that we can track down. The more specific samples people post, lockup or not, the better. If it added up your score within the game before the lock up, it would point to the credit tracking storage but if it's before the count-up then it is likely game related.
