If you knew beyond a doubt that the same VP game with the same bet yielded the best financial outcome, would you play that way all the time?

Yes, assuming I know the game well. I'm not a game jumper to begin with, JOB and BP. If some DW bet yielded a guaranteed better outcome, I'd do that.

Since nothing works all of the time, I would probably still try something else and jump ship in a long cold cycle. Sometimes those just never turn around in any given session. I now limit my losses to 200 per machine and budget about 600 for the trip max

I'm not sure I understand the question.
If there are five machines and I know the middle one pays the most, of course I'm going to play it.
If a particular variety of video poker paid slightly more but was incredibly more complex, it would depend on how well I knew the game. I recently saw a double joker game that supposedly was the highest paying game in the casino but I was clueless in proper play so I ignored it.
If the best paying game costs $25 a spin, chances are I'm not playing it.

The question is about switching games and denominations mid play. Are you saying you always make 100% of your video poker play decisions strictly based on math? Do you ever take a pot shot at a denomination higher than your bankroll can support long term?

How can anyone trust the "math"? I used to but then was informed that the " numbers" did not originate in the West but are in fact "Arabic" . We, in the West, live according to Judeo- Christian ethos. No wonder some here don't trust these Islamic configurations.
Arabic numbers shouldn't be taught in schools!

And how many hands have you played on videopoker.com Phil to come to this conclusion? Hopefully a lot so you're close to 3 free nights at the MGM Signature! I really liked that room. Long walk to go gamble though. Lol

I don't know, but it's been a lot. I enjoy playing VP on this website. It wouldn't be as much fun if we couldn't see other player's scores. The same people seem to win all the time. Probably because they have the time to play a lot of hands. You get on long lucky streaks and then you don't get a decent quad for days. Royals can happen most any time. It does seem like "the switch" gets thrown and everyone does well at the same time. Just like in a real casino.

I make my decisions based on math, unless I make a mistake.
If I go to a casino to play quarter 9-6 JOB, that's what I play. If I take shots, it would be on one of the new generation slots that you can see if a bonus round is coming.

Now that calls for elaboration! New gen slots with foreseeable bonus?
