That’s a freat hit Phil. For now in Ct, we still have our 98.91 deuces at the quarter level. Next time you come to Ct, you will have 3 casinos to choose from and a short drive.

Steve, and Fp. your in a zone that makes you happy, you can hit-and-run, take a jackpot, go have a nice comped dinner, you are doing exactly what casinos do not want you to do! They want you to hold still while they grind away at your wallet, with a house advantage!
I couldn't have said this any better. It sums up my thoughts exactly.

I'm not going to beat the casino. The casino knows it and so do I. Years ago I thought the way to beat this game was to keep feeding in money waiting for my share of royals. This may work for someone, it doesn't for me.

When I first started playing VP, I didn't pay attention to comps. Free play and comps are a big part of my winnings. The Mohegan Sun gives you a choice between comps and odds. That's the way it should be. If your casino doesn't give you either one, you should play somewhere else or play single coin nickels. To find a casino that gives you both these days, you'll need a time machine.

No one is going to beat a casino long term starting today. What you can do is enjoy the game as cheap entertainment. You don't need 100% games to make this happen.

Yes, this is the way to go. Get in and stay in a zone. Defy and subvert casino expectations. Do not be sitting ducks!
For me, this means avoiding dollar machines. It's too hard to make up a quick -$100. I managed to go -$40 net over two days of dabbling. But I felt miserable. The answer? Make Bally's my primary casino. Same FP without the dollar contingent in the vicinity. My willpower crumbles at Caesars. So goodbye glitz and glam. Hello grind.

I haven't had a losing day in more than a month. I'm almost afraid to go to the casino this week. I know what's coming.

So at least four for four. You're due for nominal $20 loss trip. Bye bye gas money.

One thing I know is this game can turn on you in a NY minute. I always assume the machines are in reverse ATM mode. Then I'm surprised when one of them gives me some of my money back. If you want a can't lose video poker strategy, "Stay out of the damn casino!"

You get so giddy about racking up wins that you are incredulous when the spigot closes. You keep feeding and bleeding.

Phil i been reading your posts from way 2016 and i joined my wife on the VP wagon around the same time
(this is the post i been reading https://www.videopoker.com/forum/viewto ... f=2&t=8707) with all my gambling knowledge and experience i came to the conclusion i can't leave the casino always a winner
best night i ever won quarters was 1275$ most i ever lost was 1300$ but thats because i jumped around .25 .50 and 1$ with that 1300 bankroll but 500$ was strictly quarters as last bankroll with that said i wonder if i just played strictly quarters on 1300$ would i have walked out a minor loser or maybe a winner if i could catch the right hands? after all more hands = more jackpots its as simple as that right? mentally it felt like i had a dark cloud following me when i was down to my last 100$ and thinking back was there anything i could have done differently? if i had a time machine and only had one option to play quarters id take it after knowing the fact playing .5/1$ just quickened my demise i know losing 1300$ isn't the end of the world but sure does suck

I wish the dollar machines would give me a shock upon card insertion. Less painful than subsequent play.
