Can’t say a word... 5 grand jackpot. It’s my biggest jackpot so far. My biggest jackpot was $4700 that I hit royal on joker poker, new record was set tonight ...

Then lost $1K. No luck anymore!

That's the thing with TDB. It's either big feast, or big famine. At least, you had the feast first.

Doubtful he had the feast first. He has had the feast recently and bragged about it.

If you can play 25c 9/6 TDB in either the Triple Play or Five Play mode, why on earth would you play 8/5 single line for dollars? While 9/6 is nothing to write home about in this game, it's more than 2% looser than 8/5. This 2% won't affect your score today very much, but it definitely adds up over time.

Are you simply ignoring how much you get for the full house and flush?

Nice deal, again!!!

Bob Dancer is once again right as i thought the exact same thing a couple of days ago. But I was more subtle about it while Bob is coming off more like this guy instead.

Bob, thanks for the reply and I won’t disagree with you since what you said is true.

However, both games are negative for me, so what the real difference is? For long stretch of time playing, I will lose everything eventually. 8/5 just runs a bit faster than 9/6 but if I could hit something nice quickly, I could win a lot on dollar than quarter, though the 9/6 quarter pays 2% more and has much lower variance. But in short term, 2% makes nearly zero difference.

I am not bragging. I have been playing for past couple of years but this is the best week ever in my experience. And this is basically the ending of my video poker playing for this year since I won’t get good comps from the casino from next month.

Just want to share the story. That’s all.

I played 9/7 TDB in this casino once I found the only machine last year, it didn’t work and I didn’t hit anything decent and they pulled it very quick and now I think it was more like a mistake made by the casino to put a full pay machine in the lobby. For the game with very high variance like TDB, the long term return can’t converge in a consistently steady way. You never gonna know when you can hit the premium hands because they are all rare hands.

And if you are talking about long term not just hit, win and run and become a long term winner, people should not play either coz u can’t make it positive even with casino’s benefit. 9/7 is possible but you may not hit premium hands. I didn’t hit any four aces with kicker on TDB last year. If you can’t hit premium hands on TDB, the expected return is just around 87% which is as bad as playing slot machines.

However, it’s just because of the high variance, it’s likely to beat the game in short term with chances.

If you are a recreational player like me, you will be a fool if you play only low variance negative games if you want to make money (not just for entertainment). For those who wants to win as a recreational player, absolutely you should play the high variance game with your bankroll. If you can hit something decent, u will become a significant winner and then call it a day. For long term players, overall return matters a lot but it actually doesn’t conflict with the former. You won’t blame yourself of hitting a royal with 10 minutes play instead of playing for 30K or 50K hand and hit it and complain you hit royal too fast.

Just my 2 cents.

Yes, that’s why I started with the 9/6 quarter 5 player as you suggested and it worked. Thank you and good luck to you too!

Congratulations!! Getting a hit like yours is worthy of getting excited, so ignore the opinion of players who were not present when you won. An opinion from a distance on your session is as valid as my opinion of square dancing.

What is the purpose of posting a jackpot picture, if not to solicit comments from folks who were not there?
