A couple of weeks ago I was sitting at the Tampa Hard Rock playing video poker. There was a man about my age sitting next to me. The casino was playing some really loud hard rock music, AC/DC or something similar. The man looked over at me and said "Did you pick today's music?" We both laughed. After all, it is the Hard Rock.

I've been watching Barrett Jackson at the Mohegan Sun on TV. Is anyone gambling?
It was your generation that gave us the 60's/70's hard rock that I grew up on, so I would have Zeppelin, Sabbath, Deep Purple, etc. blasting 24/7! Silverton here in Vegas has one of the best sound systems that pump out the deep cuts as well. My generation created the heavy/speed/thrash metal of the 80's, so I would throw that in there too. I'm in my mid 50's, so that's just me. \m/ My dad is 78 and loves the hard stuff from the 70's, so he'd fit right in!

The Riverside in Laughlin plays the 50's/60's stuff a lot of you guys appreciate. The only VP I play there is Quick Quads as the rest of the VP is barely playable.

Went to Barrett Jackson Friday. Nope no gambling. They pulled my free room so I ate their free dinner, used the free play, went to the event and was going home. They must have sensed this as I got a call that someone who said go to Aspire somebody had just cancelled a room. I went to the new high end check in center. The gal I know at the desk made a call. They gave the wife and I a beautiful suite. We took it and stayed over, but as punishment for this quite new treatment, we ate breakfast on them and split without playing. If they are going to pull this stuff and not let me plan and book in advance they can kerp their rooms and I will keep my money or head over to Foxwoods.

Even weekday rooms are pulled going forward. There is no way they can make up the mobey I would leave there renting the room they would have given me for say 200 bucks. If anyone can figure their logic, please let me know. I dealt with both successful and failing businesses over 35 years and I can’t figure it out.

Dads 95th birthrate.
Wow, ninety five. That's a long life. He's lucky to have you to look after him. When I'm ninety five, I hope to be still playing video poker and posting on this forum. Do you think video poker will be around in the year 2042?

I like most 60s hard rock music. Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Cream, and Hendrix are all good. Screaming doesn't work for me. The majority of today's recording artists aren't musicians. You can't understand the words. The music is worked over so much, it all sounds the same. The cleverest song I have heard in a while is Taylor Swift's "I'll Write Your Name". She's very talented.

I'm still driving around in my 55 TBird. I built a new engine for it. It's not your granddad's TBird.
