Sure. And I'm not robbing anyone. I also resent the fact that you're insinuating that I'm a thief.
I don't have any idea what you do in a casino. All I know is long term profitable video poker games do not exist where I play. You may find a left over multiplier, a loose ticket on the floor or a machine where someone walked away with money left. I suppose you could call that advantage play.

I go to the casino to play more than one hand. I don't go there to bet only when the stars line up. Show me a game in Florida that I can play with an advantage for a year and I may change my mind. For most of us, Advantage play is smoke and mirrors played in Fantasyland. The casino loves it and encourages players to believe it's reality when it's not. Advantage Play is casino marketing and it works. I admit positive VP opportunities still exist somewhere. They are extremely rare and they don't last long.

If you are ahead of the casino lifetime, I'm happy for you. If you played video poker where I play, things would be different.

I've played where you do. I can assure you that you are 100% wrong. You just like to turn a blind eye to the truth.

Amen to that Phil, these guys log on and have access to FP machines and + machines and then they talk down to me for playing a 99 or less than game even tho records for 200k pay outs on 99% games do exist.
and as for FAA i recommend you never switch around from .25 to 1$ ive done so many times on various video poker software and nothing ever helps all the cash is tied in a knot from the royal flush and the times we do guess right changing .25 to 1$ will always over power the times we don't hit, i even give myself all the coins in the world and still can not squeak out a edge regularly however you may do better playing progressive Joker poker in Caesars ac IMO the strategy is the hardest to learn from what win poker tells me you can clean up on that game even at 99.91 i just don't like to lose 2k win 2k and owe taxes come april =/

My best play is on a machine that probably pays out well under 90%.

Steve, I like the knot metaphor. More like a blood knot, or a noose. My downfall is ALWAYS on the min dollar machines. On the .25, etc machines, I'm highly prudent and responsible. Once I get a whiff of the big time, I never want to cash out, so I tap out. Just avoid those Masochist Meccas. Exhibit A, Harrah's. Exhibit B, Caesars.

If you are going to play dollar VP even part of the time, you need a bigger bankroll. I increased my bankroll to allow me to play dollar VP 10% of the time. Playing dollar VP at my casino is a four times bigger loser than quarters. There is no benefit to playing dollars except for the increase in comps and I have all the free rooms and lunches I can use. My wife never switches denomination. She stays with quarters and she plays as cheap as anyone. Playing 97% VP at $1.25 a hand computer perfect does not have to be a blood bath. It will cost you something, but it's cheap entertainment.

The point I am making is this. If you have a quarter bankroll, play quarters. Dreaming of a hand pay is only going to get you in trouble. The casino will consistently bust you before you can walk away happy. Playing VP bigger at my casino increases the size of my losses. The only benefit is going home with a stack of my own hundreds every so often.

As far as these phantom opportunities that keep coming up on this forum. Have you ever noticed no one ever tells you what they are? All we have so far is vulturing Ultimate X leftovers. I have to admit that's pretty clever. Even if you find a machine with a big multiplier, what do you do after that hand is over? If you are going to teach someone to only play positive VP, you should provide more details. You don't have give away the farm. Making blind statements without backing it up with facts is BS.
