I hate W-2Gs, especially with the new tax laws. Back when I played dollar VP all the time, I had a number of them on my returns each year. Thankfully I was never audited for a gambling issue. I started keeping good records back then and have continued. Who the heck wants to send the IRS a tax form with a bunch of gambling revenue on it? I would be curious to know if our expert has ever been audited. I have and it's no picnic. They sent two IRS agents to my office and stayed for two weeks. At the end I owed them nothing. The bill from my CPA was more than the tax, a lot more.

This is something I never hear professionals talk about. They'll work their butts off to find a 1% edge then give the IRS a third of the money.

Look, we have to acknowledge things have tightened significantly, even in Vegas. We used to have positive games in AC and I played them. Ran positive 8 out of 10 years. Coincidence? I think not. Now the best you will find is a break even game in AC. That's why my bankroll I keep for VP is now less than 5k, when I used to keep 20k yaers ago.

Those must have been the salad days. Yeah, 4K is plenty given the way these machines are with me.

There are many useful lessons I have learned from the experts. Learning to play computer perfect is a good thing. Learning how to calculate odds is as well. Having an adequate bankroll, managing it and maintaining discipline is essential. Maximizing comps is one of the main reasons I play VP where I do. Nothing the experts say when it comes to strategy is contrary to my own personal experience.

However, I do not believe telling players they can beat the casino with any strategy is wise. What is gained? All you do is lead players down a path to depression and heartbreak. I would rather tell them how best to play the games they have, not games they can't find. If you go to the casino expecting to make a profit, you will be disappointed the majority of the time. I went to the casino today. I played all day long and walked out even. Next week I will get $30 in free play, a free lunch and I'll do it all over again. I consider that a win.

How about this. The next time someone starts a thread about beating the casino, you disagree with them.
Until then, don't you think the six hundred nearly identical threads you've created speak for themselves?
