Taking a break from deuces wild and joker kings

Post by olds442jetaway »

I love both of these games, but in an 8 hour session, I cannot win without hitting quad deuces or better or five of a kind or better in joker kings. I found that I can stay even or better using martingale clone on job even on quadless days as long as I hit the usual number of full houses. So far there have been 4 successful sessions. I won’t bother with the detail until I have at least 12 positive ones

Olds, I hope you get 12. You don't need 12 in a row as long as the loss isn't larger than the gains.

Interesting. I've tried all kinds of progressive betting strategies with Deuces Wild and it's too hard to hit a one in 5,000 hand quad deuce with a max bet. What I end up doing is consistently using up my profits magnifying my losses. I can see how Jacks or Better would work better using Martingale.

I don't use a consistent timing scheme to switch to dollar play. I gave that up. I switch now when I have had a long losing streak and I only use up $20-$30 bucks at a time. For some reason I have been excessively lucky this year with the timing of my denomination switch. Sooner or later I expect it will go the other direction. Everything works until it doesn't.

Trial 5 is tonite. I will be playinq quarters because if I fail at that level I have the option of halves or dollars within the same machine and each denomination allows up to bet 25

Trial five worked out OK but was dangerous I had $20 in free play started with that 5 quarters on 96 jacks or better I was lucky in that I cashed out $100 but the dangerous part is the highest that using the method that I am using in the trial was Bet 15. What that means is you have to be prepared with a large bank roll if you were going to attempt this going to bet 25 I could’ve switched to a $.50 game and started over I don’t know yet but I’m guessing a bank roll of $1000-$2000 will be needed and hopefully I won’t in the future trials bust. This time I only had to use the free play and got something small right away

Just a question. Don't you get 800 credits for a 1 coin royal? I believe you used to. If you do why not start at 1 coin and work your way up? It will give you many extra hands and not get you playing so high so quick.

The only machine in the casino is a dollar machine with the spin poker option. I use it on joker kings or bonus deuces wild 20/13 but if i play job on it it is only 9/5. Plus at the dollar level the bets would just get too steep. I could start at just 1 quqrter bet on the 9/6 job machine, but run the risk of a short coin royal. I really do enjoy playing bonus deuces on it, but it is usually feast or famine

So trial 6 was today, but I had to get home and cut it short. I needed a second hundred dollar bill today. The machine was one of the coldest 9/6 job machines I have ever played. Only one full house in 2 hours abd no quads. I was up to bet 22 quarters. The. Up popped a quad. That got me even plus 6 bucks to the good. Since it did that either tomorrow evening or mon morning. I will be starting back at bet 5 quarters. When and if i get 100 bucks ahead ( already plus 6 bucks ). The trial will end.

Olds I been thinking about playing DW for a few weeks now. Getting bored with JOB. Did play some DW (NSUD) the last trip, 8 times had 3 ducks off the deal and could not pull the 4th one. This was over a 3 1/2 hour time frame. The machine was hot, I played 5 bucks a hand about 3400 hands that whole time before I lost 100 bucks. Racked up some nice points toward free play. I know without a four deuce or royal hit its going to be a bad day.
