After reading LL's post I may change my name to luckless Bill....However, I do enjoy the way numbers work. The average dealt to non dealt royals lies between 1/13 and 1/16, you have had 6 years below average, 3 years within the average range and 5 years above average for the 14 years you have listed. Your total of 15/230 falls within the average range being a little better than1/16. You are in a"down" cycle now while early in your career you were in a"up" cycle. And you and Sweet C have basically split the number of dealt royals. It's cool how over time the arithmetic of numbers works. I have played a long time and while I do not know how many royals I have had, I know exactly how many royals have been dealt!!! I now believe I have been in a "down" cycle all my VP life. Anyway, I hope you get your next dealt royal on your next session....

Ditto. my last one was super. Several years ago. 18k on a DDS deuces wild machine. I’m over due again, but unfortunately that means nothing. If Bob is reading this he will most likely say, what the heck were you doing playing a less than 98 percent game at a casino where 99 percent or higher games are everywhere. The answer is simple. I shouldn’t have been, but I was waiting for a friend to get out of a show and the exit was right near there. That particular day, I’m glad I was playing it, long term very expensive to do so.

I find it interesting that many people predict what I'm going to say. Usually I don't say what it is they predict, but often (certainly not always) they are correct about my stance about playing games with poor pay schedules

Of course, when I DO say what people predict me to say, Jstark often makes it a point to point out that that's why people don't like me!

Curious forum we have here.

I think that most of us must have a numbers fascination to play VP. We could be slot zombies or Keno crazies frittering away our cash. Glad we’re not wired that way.

I may have worded that poorly, and I apologize. But I have seen you get a bunch of heat from others (not necessarily here though) about some of your responses.

Nah, Bob gets a lot of heat here too. Even from me at times. But i will admit he is never wrong about facts.

But what I do find amusing is that Bob mostly overlooked LL's multiline habit in his response here. For sake of argument, if LL averages 10 line play, then about 1 dealt royal should appear for roughly every 160 royals he sees in 10 line play. But when he gets the dealt royal, that would count as 10 royals, not just one like he wrote in his tally.

Delta Downs lost VP in 2007 due to the complaints from the truck stops that DD had horse-racing, slots and VP. All three are not allowed by state law so they had to remove their really high pay VP.

We play at Coushatta or Golden Nugget. Coushatta has the better/best VP in La. IMO. Certainly the most variety and highest pay tables.
